- 5.0 Depot Street Gallery (2 reviews)
-Great gallery with many artists and types of items
Art Galleries
Ludlow is tiny but this place is super cute. It wasn't open on the Monday morning when we stopped by but I called and left a message and the owner called me back and we got to stop in. Owner and wife are silversmiths but they represent artists from all over New England. We bought a couple of very cool items. They have a large variety of mediums offered. See more..

Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
Wondering in Ludlow and saw super cute items in the window and stopped in. They have very interesting clothes (not just boring sports clothes as most others have in this area but REAL clothes). The staff were super helpful and I really liked what I purchased. See more..

Such a cute little shop. It's not large but there are so many interesting things in there. The longer we looked the more we bought! See more..
- 4.5 Buttermilk Falls (176 reviews)
-Worth the effort
Waterfalls
We visited in July, and did not expect to see much water flowing ( for the time of year), but with all the rain this year, it was impressive. The lower and middle falls were more accessible than the upper falls, and presented good viewing and photo opportunity. The Upper falls require an agile climb down from the street/parking area, but for us it was worth the effort; taller falls, more water, more photo ops. See more..
- 4.5 Jackson Gore Ski Area (123 reviews)

- 4.5 Green Mountain Sugar House (86 reviews)
-Delicious Maple Syrup
Speciality & Gift Shops
I was with a bus group, and we were given a tour of the sugar house, which included the process from draining the maple trees of sap to refining it for syrup. A sample convinced me that their fresh syrup is not the same quality as supermarket products. There's a gift shop on site for purchasing maple syrup and their homemade maple products. They also sell locally made crafts. Grounds are beautiful, with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs for relaxing. See more..
- 4.5 Camp Plymouth State Park (66 reviews)
-Wonderful way to spend a summer day
State Parks
State park contains the site of a former gold-mining company. See more..
- 4.5 Healdville Trail (44 reviews)
-Not easy (or always regularly maintained). Generally peaceful without lots of people.
Hiking Trails
I live ¼ mile from the trail head. I would not say the hike is "easy" at most any age unless you are conditioned and used to hiking a mostly steady climb. As of June, 2022, the trail has lots of exposed roots with trip hazards. Much of the climb will be over rocky terrain as other reviewers note, mostly stable with some exceptions. Yes, a hiking stick/trekking pole is recommended especially on the way down. Leaves in some areas make the ground underneath slippery and unpredictable after a rain. There are no views until you're close to the top of the trail. Cell signal is generally available towards the upper elevations, not anywhere near the base. Parking is accessed via Station Rd. off Rt 103, the opposite end no longer reaches Healdville Rd. as the bridge over Branch Brook was deemed unsafe and is blocked to vehicle traffic. It's a good workout! See more..

It has some small jumps with two larger jumps, a few bridges. During the week, there was no one there - on waiting! He spent 1.5 days going up on the lift and coming down fast-fun! See more..
