  1. 5.0 Little Compton Adventures (22 reviews)
    - Best way to see Little Compton, Rhode Island
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Bike Tours • Gear Rentals
    Little Compton Adventures image
Little Compton Adventures is the ideal way to see not only Little Compton but some surrounding areas. If you've not been to LC before, do the bike tour with Dan first then book a second or third day to explore on your own as well. I did two different days and two different tours -- a shorter tour followed by exploring on my own then a longer tour that took up most of the morning. Dan's passion for the beauty of Rhode Island has him taking you to all the hidden spots that no guidebook has captured yet. See more..
  2. 5.0 Goosewing Beach Preserve (20 reviews)
    - Off the beaten path
    Beaches
    Goosewing Beach Preserve image
We were visiting Newport and were looking for a nice beach day. The Newport crowds are not really our scene, though, so we did our research and came up with Goosewing. It was a bit of a trek from Newport but totally worth the effort. The beach was rocky, the water was refreshing, the surf was suitable for riding but not overly rough. It wasn’t crowded and those other groups that were there kept their distance. Many, many shells if that’s your thing. The drive over took about 40 minutes but it was mostly back road, country driving. Highly recommended off the beaten path beach. See more..

We knew that Grey's had closed, but were pleasantly surprised to find that the store has been reopened as an Antique and Collectibles Store. We were on our way to Little Compton when we saw the open store and had to go in. It is certainly worth a stop for its historical value. And who knows, you might find some interesting treasures! 10. 4.0 South Shore Beach (41 reviews)
    - great fun time
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    South Shore Beach image
ok let me be allowed to say this, I read some people say it is an overcrowded beach and rocky beach yes, it does get crowded but that tells you it is a great beach to go to so first come first serve meaning many people love this beach and know to get there early, as far as rocky this is so not true only the top where you park your car might be rocks but you need that footing so your car does not sink in loose sand. the lower portion has NO rocks, and it is great sand plus your able to walk the full beach no problem at all, you will only see happy people here and the kids have a ball and great time in the water with the large waves. 2022 lets all be positive and focus on family and fun times See more..
