   Traveled to the Loring Heritage Center located on the former Loring Air Force Base in August 2019 as the center was having an Open House regarding the 25th year since Loring Air Force Base was closed in 1994. There was three days of activities regarding the closing of the base which include a B-52 Fly By on Sunday the 25th of August. Was well worth the time to attend and tour the former base, sadly like other Military Bases or Functions there will not be any of the original Military Members, Military Families or Civil Service Employees around. Hopefully the Loring Heritage Center will educate people about the U S Air Force and its people who either worked or lived on the base as well as the surrounding area to their life as it was in the 1940's thru the middle 1990's.
