   Register Cliff and Independence Rock already had a presence on Tripadvisor and this is the third well known place where Oregon Trail and other emigrants carved their names in rock. There are others but smaller and more challenging to get to. The hallmark of this site is the name Jim Bridger which was quite a trick as he was illiterate! Perhaps he had help. The oldest date is from 1822. I must admit, finding the old, emigrant carvings is a challenge because of all the more recent graffiti, i m sorry to say. But if you are diligent and curious, you will be rewarded! See more..
