  1. 5.0 Kutztown Bottling Works (1 review)
    - Best root beer ever!
    Speciality & Gift Shops
We travel the country often, and my husband is always on the lookout for Kutztown root beer.... Often available at Amish markets, and normally in plastic bottles. Since we were traveling near Kutztown, we decided to detour. They had their root beer in glass bottles, so he bought two cases. I have to agree with him.... Especially in the glass bottles, it's the best root beer available. There's some on street parking, but the better option is a city parking lot behind the building. I even found enough space to park my RV. They have lots of other sodas and beers as well. See more..
  2. 5.0 Burkholder Farm Market (1 review)
    - Bounteous & charming Amish market
    Farmers Markets
Quaint country store packed with local farm goods and crafts. The seasonal veggies are great. Equally impressive are the home made canned goods, including more types of pickles than I've ever seen. Wonderful selection of baking ingredients, a whole wall of spices arranged alphabetically, locally made sausages, nice local soaps and home remedies. Genuine Pennsylvania country experience. You definitely have to have the innate ability to self-propel through the Rodale Institute. The experience is what you make of it. If you enjoy the solace of being outdoors with a minimal amount of distractions, this may be a great stop for you. As for me, I've been coming here for years. I love to practice my photography skills, get some exercise, and enjoy the outdoors. And, what a treat it is to view the organic plants. Signage exists to educate you about what you are viewing. Animals and fowl live here, too. See more..

So glad that they keep this history alive- and in Kutztown! Safe, clean and fun, with friendly engineers! Enjoy the beautiful historic train station too! My husband and I opted to stop in for lunch during a weekend getaway at a nearby hotel. We were able to make a reservation for lunch online on the same day we planned to stop on. Beautiful festive holiday decorations were everywhere and we felt very safe as all tables were well distanced. Wine flights were great and offered a little bit of variety and food was outstanding. We shared a little bit of everything and would highly recommend the meatballs, crispy brussel sprouts, and seasonal ginger snap cookie gelato. Beautiful setting, great service, and wonderful food! We will be back. See more..

Filled with nostalgia, you can find treasures from when you and your grandparents were kids! Lots of antiques, collectibles and occasional bargains on country kitchen items and more. Find tasty treats, produce from local farms and bakeries, arts and more. I love to listen to the elders talk Dutch at the breakfast bar. Don't miss the Plain and Fancy doughnuts and sticky buns, Dietrich's ring bologna and sweet summer sausage, the best fried chicken and quality poultry at Neidermeyers, and fruit smoothies and Mediterranean treats at Nancy's! Check out the outdoor flea market for the real bargains, but go early in the morning, as many pack up by noon. See more..
  11. 4.0 Kutztown Fairgrounds (10 reviews)
    - Kutztown Folk Festival
Spent 2-3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Kutztown Fairgrounds image
We just went to the opening day of the the festival. I had been there over 40 years ago and was a little disappointed. I had remembered more demonstrations and less craft show. We loved the demonstrations that were there and the food and drink was great, but a little higher than most festivals. There are some really amazing artists who not only are selling there craft, but also demonstrating them as well. I feel that this is still a great time for all who attend and if you buy your tickets ahead online. See more..
  12. 4.0 K'town Pub (2 reviews)
    - Night out.
    Bars & Clubs
It was crowded, but with college kids running around from Kutztown University, not to surprising. The bartenders were pretty quick, very nice, and very polite giving good suggestions for drinks and food. The food is amazing and drinks are great! 10/10 for a bar. Would go back anytime I'm in the area. See more..
