  1. 5.0 Stitched In Stone (1 review)
    - EXCELLENT DOUBLE STORE ~ ONE FOR QUILTERS, THE OTHER FOR KNITTERS & CROCHETERS
    Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
    Stitched In Stone image
In Kingston for a day of shopping, I stopped in at Stitched in Stone. It had a double storefront. One half was for quilting supplies. The other half was for knitting and crocheting supplies. There was a wide selection of patterns in the knitting and crocheting section. I noticed that the shop was an authorized dealer in for BabyLock and Elna sewing machines. I also saw stickers for Knit Picks and Sebo Vacuums. I noticed that the fabrics were from quality manufacturers, such as Hoffman, Kaufman, and Benartex as well as others. The shop had quilt kits, patterns, books, notions for sewing, trims and embellishments, and a wide variety of yarn for knitting and crocheting. The owners of the shop were helpful and very nice. There were some quilts. One finished quilt on display that I really liked had a New England theme with a lobster placed prominently in the design. This is a great store for quilters, knitters, and crochters in the Kingston area. Overall, my rating is a solid 4.75, and I can recommend shopping there. 2. 5.0 Butterfly Reflections, Ink (1 review)

Traveling on NH Route 125, I’d spotted and driven past the back of a large white complex hundreds of times. On this trip while visiting in Plaistow for a few days, I went to Kingston and looked into what it was. It turned out to be the Carriage Towne Plaza which had about two dozen businesses that included nice shops and the Carriage Towne Bar & Grille. After browsing at Carriagetowne Antiques & Uniques, I came here. From the shop owner, I learned that Butterfly Reflections, Ink had previously been an internet-based business but later opened this store in May 2018. Everything was well organized. There were a lot of wall and freestanding display racks The store had a wide variety of stamping and scrapbooking supplies. There were hundreds of stamping designs to choose from. The array of scrapbooking supplies included everything from paper, stencils, and stickers to albums and inserts. There were a lot of stamping sets for children and adults that could be given as gifts that might encourage a new hobby. There was one cute set of stamps called Critter Concert Stamp Set that featured animal characters playing musical instruments – a squirrel playing a French horn, a raccoon playing a flute, an owl playing a violin, and more. I thought that the stock in the store was very tasteful. I rate Butterfly Reflections, Ink at 5.0 and recommending a visit to anyone into stamping or scrapbooking. 3. 4.0 Revitalize Salon & Spa (1 review)
    - NICE SALON & SPA ~ A HIDDEN GEM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Spas
    Revitalize Salon & Spa image
Revitalize Salon & Spa is one of those hidden gems in a plaza off NH Route 125. The whole Carriage Towne Plaza is not visible from the highway – just the back of the first building that Revitalize is in. I’d discovered this business when I investigated the mysterious back of the big white building of Carriage Towne Plaza a couple of weeks earlier. After shopping in Plaistow for most of a day, I went to Revitalize Salon & Spa late in the afternoon for a manicure with Brittany, who did a very good job clipping, filing, shaping, buffing, and polishing my nails with an O.P.I Nail Lacquer. The salon is very nice and everything in it looks fairly new and is well-kept. I looked at the services sheet. Prices are competitive. I rate Revitalize Salon & Spa at 4.50. The only thing holding it back from a 5.0 rating is a more complete line of spa services. I will definitely make another manicure appointment there and can recommend Revitalize to others. 4. 4.0 Carriagetowne Antiques & Uniques (1 review)
    - TIDY ANTIQUES SHOP IN A HIDDEN-GEM SHOPPING PLAZA
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops • Antique Shops
    Carriagetowne Antiques & Uniques image
Visiting in Plaistow for a few days, I went to nearby Kingston one afternoon. Traveling on NH Route 125, I’d seen and driven past the back of a large white complex hundreds of times. On this trip, I looked into what it was. It turned out to be the Carriage Towne Plaza which had about two dozen businesses that included nice shops and the Carriage Towne Bar & Grille. The sign for Carriagetowne Antiques & Uniques caught my eye. I love browsing gift and antique shops, so I started my shopping there. It was a multi-dealer shop with everything from antique jewelry, books, and collectibles to enamelware, glassware, linens, decorative home furnishings, and more. There were at least two dozen booths filled with treasures. Everything that I saw was of good quality. The booths were all very well organized, and the items in them were neatly arranged. I’d never seen an antiques shop as tidy as this one. From all my previous experiences, the tidiness seemed almost incongruous with antiques. In the course of my wandering through the shop, I came upon a lovely set of white enamelware in excellent condition. It was a real eye-catcher. I saw a lot of items that could be regarded as giftware. Overall, I thought that prices were fair. This is a great place to shop for antiques. I highly recommend a visit. I rate Carriagetowne Antiques & Uniques at 4.25. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  5. 4.0 The Plains (1 review)
    - GRASSY PARK IN CENTER OF TOWN
    Parks
    The Plains image
Passing through Kingston, I stopped for awhile to visit The Plains and the Church on the Plains across the road. The Plains area is a long strip park in the center of town. It is mostly grassy surfaces between Main Street and West Main Street. There are several cross streets. The park is the site for town events, such as concerts at the bandstand and Kingston Days which includes music, flea market & yard sale, food vendors, rides. Motorcycle show, car show. And, the upcoming Kingston Days event in August was part of what prompted my visit. I wanted to see exactly where the parking would be for it. At the time of my visit, I saw a family setting up for a picnic under a shade tree in one of the middle sections. Nearby are the NH State Historical Marker for Josiah Bartlett as well as his house which is a private residence. I rate The Plains at 4.0 and recommend visiting during one of the town’s events. 10. 3.0 Granite Fields Golf Club (8 reviews)
    - An absolute senior golfer's mecca
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
A seniors golfer's mecca ... why ... because Mon-Fri the rate with cart is $30. This golf course is average at best, however that said, it has several tees for all abilities, some very interesting holes, smooth greens, ample fairways, with some target golf mixed in. It's a relatively new course, so conditions run hard, but very playable. It just needs to mature, but for the above rate .... just shut up, play and enjoy the day. See more..
  11. 3.0 Kingston Fairways Golf Club (1 review)
    - A bit rough and tumble, but a great spot for beginners
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Golf Courses
Stopped in to play nine holes early in the season. We learned upon check in that there was some winter damage caused by snapping turtles. Evidently the turtles arrived and laid eggs in two of the greens, causing noticeable damage. Temporary greens had to be created for a part-time fix. Our experience was good, nonetheless, but not many of the undisturbed greens were all that great. Fairways were a bit sketchy too. The owners offered the chance to play two other holes to make up for the ones that had temp greens. A nice gesture. See more..
