The title says it. It's large enough without being overwhelming. We ended up with several books that we hadn't seen elsewhere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Books stores for us are dangerous because we end up buying more than we plan. In that sense it's very dangerous--we had planned only to look. So check it out. Great place to spend an hour. See more..

While visiting Keene we decided to attend a Swampbats baseball game. The team is part of a college summer league and were playing the Laconia Muskrats the night we attended. The atmosphere is fun and family friendly, with games and contest between innings. The baseball is high quality and the crowd gets into the action. Simply a fun evening. See more..

Imagine stumbling upon a performance that was simultaneously in Irish and English in a small former New England mill town. We were fortunate to be told about the Moonfish Theater Production of "The Star of the Sea," and got to see a wonderfully wrought play that spanned the Gorta Mòr (great hunger) aka the potato famine and its impact upon disparate and desperate lives. Secondly, during the Q&A time, we discovered that there is a Genocide and Holocaust Department at the college. Who knew? We took our 2 year and a half year old granddaughter. She loved it and we did too. I was amazed at all the interactive displays that were complete and in working order: store with food items and shopping carts, a bank with interactiv display, a school area, a movie set, radio station, a forest, airplane with working parts, trains, dentest office, construction site, doctor office, and many more. We spent over 2 hours and did not cover everything. It was safe, clean, and a great place for a hot or raining day. The price was very reasonable. They sell water and snack bars and there is a small gift section. I would go back often if we lived closer. Clean bathrooms are in the hall. It is located in a strip mall in Keene. We started our ride from the athletic fields in Keene on Krif Rd and headed southwest. The first several miles of trail make for easy riding, as the trail is well packed and the grades are easy. The trail eventually narrows and the surface changes often. There are a couple muddy stretches, a few short sandy areas, and some bumpy riding. We rode to the Monadnock Speedway then returned to Keene. I would recommend a mountain bike or possibly a hybrid. See more..

The walk around Goose Pond was beautiful. It took about an hour and half including getting to the pond and back to the car. We did stop and take pictures throughout the walk. Please keep Google maps on you as there are not good markings on the trail. Drop a pin on your start point on the Google maps. It is level in most places, but there are places you have to go over rocks and fallen trees. We would go again. See more..

After a visit to the er for an unrelated issue an er nurse told me about deep roots when she tried to raise my arms to help remove my clothing to get me in johnny and my arms didn't go up and I explained my injury from years ago and the surgeries and visits to pain clinic and she told me about deep roots. I have now joined and become a member and go once a month and am mostly pain free and have almost full range of motion. I can not say enough about Mark and his team here and the work they do.
