  1. 5.0 Glacier Aviation Services (141 reviews)
    - Beautiful views
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Helicopter Tours
    Glacier Aviation Services image
The hour helicopter ride included beautiful views of mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and towns in the area west and south of Glacier National Park - all described and named for you by your pilot. Ramsay did a fantastic job letting us know what we were looking at and keeping us safe on our flight. The entire process was very organized, which was greatly appreciated. Read closely on the website where the tour will be taking you- they do not go into the very busy park areas like Logan Pass or Many Glacier. You can see the Canadian Rockies in the distance and Lake McDonald in different portions of the flight. It was a beautiful experience. See more..

Cameron personally guided our group and we couldn’t of asked for a better day. Perfect skis, several feet of fresh in touched powder and wide open landscape. If you are looking for somewhere to rent snowmobiles I highly recommend as they are the only place I’ve seen so far than doesn’t have piece of junk machines that only go 15 mph. They have top of the line Polaris bikes that fly through the mountains and are perfect on any terrain. Great guides and service If you are looking for some Lake fishing or summer side by side cruising they can treat you as well See more..

    - A great unspoiled outdoor space
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Hiking Trails
    Leisure Island Park image
What I love about this preserve is that it is unspoiled and undeveloped so it is truly pristine. The preserve straddles the Flathead River and has numerous small ponds throughout. Hiking along the river or though the fields and marsh are always interesting and offer plenty to see. On this visit a Bald Eagle gave us a show. At the entrance there is a small groomed area with picnic tables available for a more tame encounter. For us, letting the dogs run and play is a favorite pass time, we join them so great exercise for all. It is free to enter but is bordered by private property that needs to be respected. This is a great gem close to downtown Kalispell. See more..

This is such a great local playground. Located just 10 minutes from downtown Kalispell, it gives anyone with time restraints an opportunity to explore. Located on the west side of the valley at an elevation ranging roughly from 2950' to 3650' (900 m to 1110 m) there are moderately challenging trails. The trails are marked and there are kiosks with information as well about the trails and history. With numerous overlooks the views of the valley are spectacular. Looking east Glacier National Park is easily seen. There is a self guided audio tour available. - Great Little Park - Did not visit pool
    Water Parks
    Woodland Water Park image
On our way out of town we were looking to eat up time. I'm glad we stopped here. This was a hidden gem of a park. There is a pool and hockey rink, but we didn't visit these. The park is small, but there is a paved path around the pond. The path is partially in the sun and shade. There are a few small, pretty gardens. There are some pavilions, all of which were clean. There is also a nice little art project that was very pretty and neat, that originated out of way of showing community unity. There were some turtles and lots of ducks and geese to watch. We were there 30 minutes, but it was nice and relaxing. See more..
  17. 4.5 Sacred Waters Brewing Company (19 reviews)
    - Nice local vibe and good beer
    Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
    Sacred Waters Brewing Company image
Our first stop in Montana after landing at Kalispell Airport. We were able to get both food and drink at the time of our visit, the adjacent restaurant had a sign noting they would be closing permanently by the end of the week. However, one of the ladies at the brewery said that Sacred River might be taking over the food operations. Enjoyed the Bull Frog Coffee Stout - very good, smooth , and with a hint of coffee overtone. A nice accompaniment to our Fish Tacos from the adjacent Fork in the River eatery. This location also features live music on many evenings. A very nice Montana vibed ambience here. Very enjoyable. Glad we stopped here. See more..

This is a great open and undeveloped green space not far from town. Its easy access is perfect if you want some space and don't have a lot of time. There are numerous quasi trails for exploring and plenty of river bank to follow and explore as well. There is usually an abundance of wildlife to observe. Taking the dogs down here for a run and some exercise is another favorite pass time. A word of caution, there are private lands adjacent to the preserve which need to be respected. - Smoked Chicken Club is delicious...
    Breweries
    SunRift Beer Company image
We stopped here for a beer refreshment and a bit to eat. After having a couple little samples of the beer we decided on the Sundown Honey Brown which was very light and smooth. A delicious beer for our tastes. For our lunch we ordered The Cow tipper and Smoked Chicken club asking for them each to be cut in half so we could share some of each sandwich. We both preferred the Smoked Chicken club as the Cow tipper was a bit on the tough side. The beer gravy for the dip was very good. They do have a good selection of beer so enjoy. They have outdoor seating which was great especially on a nice sunny day. See more..
  27. 4.0 Montana Raceway Park (18 reviews)
    - Fun evening for race fans
This location was reported permanently closed Spent 2-3 hours Auto Racing Tracks
    Montana Raceway Park image
While on a family reunion annual trip in June this year we based our stay in Whitefish, MT. We always look for local activities and attractions and were pleased to discover the Montana Raceway Park. As we travel to a different part of our great Unites States each year we try to take in a variety of things to see and do. I had e mailed the racetrack a few months before our arrival and had a very informative reply from Ted, the General Manager. Most helpful in advising me that yes, the track seating area did have a handicapped seating area, lots of information on what kind of races we would see, the qualifiying times and the start times and the pricing. The track is located about half way between the towns of Kalispell and Whitefish on Hwy 93 and is well marked with racing flags ..........very easy to find. They have a concession stand for a lite meal and soft drinks. Lots of fun was had by those who attended from our group and they highly recommend attending some races there. See more..
  28. 4.0 Depot Park (1 review)
    - Summer hot spot
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks
    Depot Park image
As with many outdoor locales in Montana, this park is dormant in the winter. Located on the corner of Center and Main Streets, this time of year it is easy to miss. However, the most striking feature anytime is The Flathead County Veterans Memorial easily viewed from Main Street. In the summer the park is a center for outdoor activity featuring Art in the Park as well as concerts given in the gazebo and capitalizing on the long Kalispell summer days. It also serves as a rally point for numerous other activities. This is a great center for any number of activities. See more..
