If you are looking for a unique, insiders view of Newport & Jamestown this is a must do. Ally and Dennis are not only knowledgable about the views and area, they are fun and provide a relaxing atmosphere (plus snacks!) for you to soak in the experience. We opted for a sunset cruise, and it was everything we could have hoped for. There are few things as relaxing and beautiful as sailing around the Newport and Jamestown area during sunset, with a glass of wine in hand, with an intimate group of friends. Come and visit the studio during the week and you might get to see them blowing glass right before your eyes. The gallery is open during the week and on the weekends. By appointment glass blowing lessons are available and fun for the whole family! The quaint glass blowing studio is surrounded by beautiful woods and gardens that are worth the trip in and of themselves, especially during the summer! A really outstanding park. It comprises the south end of the island and is quite easy to find. There is ample room to spread out and enjoy oneself on the cliffs, or to venture down to the water on the rocks and find a private little beach of your own. The shores are very much like you would find in Maine, specifically at Pemmaquid Point. The lighthouse adds to the pleasant features of the island. The exterior of the house can visited anytime the park is open, and there are additional times and dates that the museum is open and the tower able to be climbed. Entry seemed to be free as well. This was a very relaxing and affordable way to see the ports in the area, and get great views of the water. Our favorite stop was seeing the light house and barracks and Rose Island. My suggestion is to get an early start around 9, because the schedule on the brochure and my understanding of when it stops and arrives was not clear until I actually got on it and listened to our guide. Maybe you can make sense of it. We parked for free in Jamestown, purchased our tickets on the boat, and loved the fact that it was not a crowded tour. We could ask the operators random questions and they were super nice and engaged in casual conversation. We met an older couple who used this as their daily mode of transportation for three days of their trip. See more..

Watson Farm is a precious jewel in Rhode Island. A peaceful retreat to the farm is always welcome. The dirt road trails lead all over the property so one can sense how farming and living 200 years ago must have been. The gardens and grounds around the antique house and barnyard are well kept and welcoming shade trees are hundreds of years old. Animals of all sorts are plentiful and even the pets are welcoming. The Border Collies just had a litter when we were there. It's just a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. It was well worth the $3. donation per person. See more..

This is a great spot by the water. There 4 separate places to access the beaches and rocks. The rocks are fun to climb just be careful. There are fun little trails that my kids liked taking. Great little beaches and even areas to cliff jump if you’re up to it. Ample parking. Bathrooms and or porto potties around the parking areas. Great place to picnic. The ruins and graffiti are a downer but the scenery makes up for it in my opinion. (You can’t park in there during Covid 19 shut down) See more..

It was a pretty good spot. Liked the private beach even though it’s small and rocky and loved you can bring the dogs on it. BIGGEST problem is you can’t pull your car to your campsite. That makes zero sense. It was close to 100° this weekend and we needed some air reprieve for the dogs. Ended up finding one spot we could pull the car in and just asked the RV owner if it was OK and he was fine with it (we had to drive through his space). Plus the seagulls will destroy your bag of trash unless you lock it in the car. Overall it’s a good spot, close to Beavertail and we went to Newport for dinner one night. GREAT views. See more..
