   This beautifully, interior-designed Bakery/Dessert shop with a new liquor license is just a short walk from the new Independence Hotel. Definitely a "must-stop" in the morning for incredible Cinnamon Buns, etc., Coffees, Teas & Mimosas and sparkling Champagne selections, etc. served throughout the day. Return later for "mid-day & afternoon snack" selections of savory offerings and fabulous cupcakes, tarts, lemon bars, brownies, etc. Popular evening visits for tiramisu, Creme Brulee & other dessert selections are often accompanied by "live music" on weekend nights! Driving by at 5:00 pm, we noticed through the large front windows, at least 4 tables with seated customers; a winning sign of this "Independence gem's" success.    Great Food. Everything is fresh. Diversified Menu. Great Atmosphere. Bacon Ranch Burgers is my favorite. Made with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, mayo, catsup with Pub Fries. Absolutely wonderful. Their wraps are to die for., include fresh cucumbers and all above. Fresh Salads, Fish & Chips, etc. Great place to meet for lunch, dinner, an appetizer.    Taking a small country ferry across a Marion County river was a wonderful experience. So many people miss this chance to see a different type of adventure.    Stopped here on my first trip to Independence. The gallery operator kindly let me in despite it being after official open hours and helpfully answered all my questions. Lots of local artists and beautiful work - the pieces cover a wide range of techniques and evoke a wide range of emotions. My visit was very satisfying and I will be back. See more..
