   Natural Splendor along the Swatara.Like many caverns in the Mid-Atlantic states, Indian Echo Caverns is a limestone cave. Cut through Beekmantown limestone, which is over 440 million years old, they were formed through the erosive properties of water. As time progressed, geological forces led to an "uplift" of the surrounding limestone, eventually allowing more and more water to flow through the formation. As the water flowed over the limestone, it began to create small crevices, these small crevices led to larger ones, and eventually, over a series of millions of years, it created the caverns as they are today.The temperature inside the caverns is 52 degrees year around.    I didn't think that stores like this existed anymore! From the outside, it looks like a regular storefront, but it is huge inside. All kinds of marvelous toys, from many countries are everywhere. We came with our daughter, and 13 month old granddaughter, and all four of us were reluctant to leave after having spent 40 minutes there. In fact, the little one was ready to cry, and it was not like she had a run of the place, as she was strapped to her mother. My husband and I felt like we were in Fantasyland. We made some purchases for all three grandchildren. These were all items we had never seen anywhere else. This is such a unique and fascinating store. Very much worth a visit. See more..

   Had a very nice flight style tasting with ample social distance seating. We were able to select the 6 wines we wanted to taste and they provided a small cup with 6 pretzels to clear the palette between tastings. Staff was attentive, checked on us to see how we were doing any questions. Chatted a bit with the one gal who set up our flights. Enjoyed a dry rose Chambourcin and a dry Riesling and purchased some of them. All the wines we tasted were very good. They have an apple wine that could be served cold or warmed up and it was very good too. Would return if in the area. See more..

    I really enjoy this place! They have a number of tables inside and the food has always been good. They do attract an eclectic crowd from bikers to local people but everyone keeps to their own business. It is a good place to meet for an impromptu meeting with staff or a meal with family and friends. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating to changes in orders. It is in a unique location at the split in Hummlestown, PA but that adds to the charm. The parking lot at the facility is limited but additional parking is available just down the street.
