   Benson park is an amazing place to go for a walk, take the kids, go to the playground, take the dog, have a picnic, take pictures and bird watch amoung other things. This place was a zoo back in the day. It has been renovated and is simply magical for kids. Lots of the old structures are there, gorilla cages, the old woman in the shoe display, the swan pond (you can always see turtles hanging out). The park is well maintained and lots of fun. Only down side is there are no public restrooms - only porta potties. Yuck! Maybe soon the town will get real bathrooms up and running. The dog park is a great attraction there as well.    My wife and I went to Axe Play for our first time along with another couple that have been before. This was my first time at an axe throwing establishment and it won’t be my last. We had a great time! We were met by the owner, Matt, who was extremely helpful in getting us set up. The rest of the staff were all very attentive and helpful and provided throwing tips. The facility itself is larger than expected. It was also very clean. I would recommend to anyone that has not tried this experience to try it. You might just get addicted! See more..

   Why wouldn’t you like it here? There is hiking/walking trails, a pond in the middle of the park, you can go fishing in it but don’t swim in it, there is a playground, a gorilla cage, and the old women who lived in a shoe! If you never been here this place used to be a zoo! Now you can still go inside the old animal cages! Especially convenient for me because there is a trail connecting from my neighborhood to the park so I go here a lot! There is also a dog park and they allow dogs on the trails!    Golfed there twice this past week. One night filled in on a league second night golfed with my daughter. Overall course is in decent shape with the lack of rain we have had. Very slow took over 2 1/2 hours for nine holes. Close by so will go back. Can usually get a tee time last minute. See more..
