Just went on a 2 hour boat tour of the Homosassa River on the Nature Coast of Florida with 18 friends. $20 per person. The Captain was so helpful with our mobility impaired friend, gently helping her on/off the dock and boat. The narrator had many stories and nature facts throughout the cruise. The ride is slow and easy, just perfect for our "retirement age" ladies group. Between narration they played party music to sing and dance to. Afterwards we had dinner at the Seagrass Waterfront Resort, at the marina where we docked. Because we went on the cruise, we had a special discounted menu including "adult beverage" for $19 each. Food was great! The cruise runs Wednesdays through Sundays. You can rent the whole boat or just join a smaller group. This is perfect for families, couples, and friends who want a pleasant afternoon on the water but still able to hear yourselves talk.
