  1. 5.0 Northeast Fly Fishing School (88 reviews)
    - Highly Recommend
    Fishing Charters & Tours
    Northeast Fly Fishing School image
Having minimal prior fly fishing experience, I had a fantastic experience with Dave and Jim on the river. These guys know their stuff, from fishing know-how to teaching it. They covered a lot of material in a day - casting techniques and practice, stripping and mending, how to fish with streamers, dry flies, and nymphs, how to find and approach the fish, how to manage your time on the water, landing a fish, where to fish, and more. I feel much more knowledgeable and ready to apply their lessons on my own with more confidence. I ended the day with great excitement and enthusiasm for the sport. See more..
  2. 5.0 Kimball Fruit Farm (12 reviews)
    - Great Farm Stand - Go for the produce - but pick up the bake goods and tomato sauce made with their award winning tomato
    Saturday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Farms
This is a fabulous place for farm fresh product, or catch one of their many markets in the Boston area! Check out their Facebook face for locations! The tomatoes are heirloom- the colors are rich reds, purple, zebra stripe greens and golden yellow - the yellow "Pineapple" is my favorite! The donuts are addictive and so light! This is a small stand, family run with the just the right amount of everything for the bounty of your table and farm to table meals at your home. See more..

  7. 4.5 Chocolate Barn (3 reviews)
    - Teeny, tiny store, giganticly good chocolate!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
We went by after church one Sunday and became fans. We chatted for a while with the mom of the owner, who was a lovely, charming person. This is small-batch, carefully crafted chocolate for the discerning palate. See more..
  8. 4.0 Hollis Flea Market (11 reviews)
    - Really good, wish I had more time there.
Spent 2-3 hours Flea & Street Markets
    Hollis Flea Market image
I was nearby last weekend for Father's Day and decided to check it out on our way home. Really surprised by what was there. After reading some of the review's there may be some confusion between which is the Hollis Flea and the other one directly across the street from it. Hollis has antiques, vintage, retro, tools, bikes, & camping gear, etc. while the other one is mostly newer & household stuff so I did not stay long over there. At Hollis though there were about 60 vendors and the majority had really good items. Could not get to every table as we had to be somewhere by noon but I will go back. See more..
  9. 4.0 Shirley's Flea Market (2 reviews)
    - Fun Flea Market
Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets
    Shirley's Flea Market image
Shirley's is directly across the road from the Hollis Flea Market. This outdoor seasonal flea market is open every Sunday, April through October, from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. It's smaller than the Hollis FM, and with a nice mix of vintage, antique and some new items. My husband and I found quite a few treasures here and all the vendors we spoke with were willing to bargain. As with any flea market, wear comfortable shoes and bring cash. An ATM is available at the Hollis Flea Market. Parking is $2.00 and admission is free. Food trucks are available as well as porta-johns. Dogs are not allowed. See more..

  11. 3.5 The Overlook Golf Club (7 reviews)
    - Terrible Customer Service
    Spent 2-3 hours Golf Courses
Guy in proshop with goatee has the worst customer service I have ever seen and I am a graduate of the Golf Academy of America. He stares at you when you walk in, no greeting then gets upset when you don't say anything to him. He should not be in the golf industry, a complete and utter moron who lacks any compassion or a sense of how to communicate, if you don't have social skills, do not work in a social environment. I like the course, its fun, but I won't go back because of the idiot in the proshop, because since you clearly do not know, most golfers make their mind up on if they are coming back after the proshop experience, usually within the first 30 mins of being on the property. Shame ! See more..
  12. 3.0 Silver Lake State Park (20 reviews)
    - Not as nice as when I was a kid.
    State Parks
They shut down the beach for bacteria so check before you make a visit in the summer! It can get busy. If you're local, it's a decent place. I wouldn't drive any amount of time out of my way to come here. See more..
