So being from Northern Ireland i'd never even held a gun before let alone shoot one, i'd been looking for a good range in every town i'd been in and finally found this place. The guys working there were excellent with us and we rented some guns and bought the ammo and were shown how to safely operate them. It was a great experience for us in a safe environment. I am a regular now at the Legends Karaoke bar in Hixson. The DJs are really nice guys and the servers are great too. Their karaoke selection is not the newest songs but they have plenty to choose from. Its not a huge place but its usually not overcrowded. Its inside a bowling alley. Affordable drinks. bought a Groupon deal for this place today. It's close to my house and for $19, can't get much better. The place is very low key and not like other places that tries too hard to be fancy. Looks like it's own by a young couple. Very friendly and courteous. My friend and I got a nice foot and back massage. It was very nice. Personally, I could handle a little more force but was still nice. Look, if you never tried it before, get the coupon from Groupon and give this place a try. For me, it was more than worth the $19! Walking into throwbacks was like walking into an old school toy store. Every turn we were saying with excitement "I had that when I was a kid" and reminiscing about the good ole days. The owner and the other guy who worked there were super nice and knowledgeable about the products they were selling and buying. One of the fun parts of our visit was talking with them. I highly recommend this store to anyone, but if you are a child of the 80's and 90's this is the place for you. See more..

Camped in site 50 a pull through, level site. Adequate room. Laundry in the bathhouse. Lots of private shower rooms in our section. There are several campground sections some shadier than others. When a freaky storm popped up other campers went around closing awnings for campers that were not present but left their camper unlocked, so very thoughtful. Snow cone lady drives thru 3 times a day, what a treat! Reasonably priced. This park is on the Chickamauga Lake with great fishing, boat ramps, huge sandy beach roped off from boats with a concession stand. No lifeguards. Rangers patrol frequently. Lots of picnic tables and pavilions. Absolutely beautiful area. See more..

I did not use the dog park. It always looks super busy. I went for a kayak launch and it's my favorite one around. There are steps down to the water and you get in and go downstream and can get out on the other side of the park. We usually take two cars and put one at the launch and one at the end point so we don't have to leave our kayaks and walk to the car. The creek is always deep year round from what we have seen and we honestly never see any other kayakers on the route. It's beautiful, peaceful and we always see lots of wildlife. Greenway Farm is a family favorite for a stroll or a jog. There is mix of trail, graveled, and paved pathways that make their way along Chickamauga Creek and the nearby woodlands. The majority of the trails are level to slightly rolling, but there are also a few hills if you choose those routes. The trails are cleared and easy to follow and shaded in many areas. The Cumberland Trail has many great trails and overlooks. The total length is about 32 miles plus loops. Two very easy overlooks to access for non-hikers are Signal Point (right in the town of Signal Mountain just a few steps from the parking lot) and Snoopers Rock (also a short distance from parking). We did the hike from Snoopers Rock to Indian Rock House, just about three miles. It was a great hike though a bit tiring for our less experienced hikers, but if my 70 year old mom can make it anyone can! And the views were so worth it. See more..

It’s one of the older version unrenovated theatres in the area but the most convenient if you live in Hixson. We live in Hixson but often go to one of the theaters in the are with more comfortable seats or even one of the theaters with reclining seats. This is the new lazer tag place inside Northgate Mall in Hixson. I was not impressed. Ten minute games and my gun did not work half the time. The sensors kept saying I did not have both hands on the gun when I DID and it would not shoot and I was getting shot in the meantime. Very frustrating. I told the attendant about it and no free game was offered only an apology and then he turned the heat sensors off. How about just don't have the dang heat sensors in the first place if they don't work well? He said they often don't work well. So if you go, tell them to turn the heat sensors off. The arena is not impressive either. No second story-no walls only barrels to hide behind, So not really a good game experience compared to others. They even forgot to turn the lights on for us at first and we were playing in pitch dark which could have been dangerous. I had to bang on the doors and tell them to turn the lights on. They do run specials like spend $25 on a card and get 5 games for that. Or some other specials on different days. They do parties there as well. My friend said she attended a party there and the black light party room after an hour hurt her eyes really bad. So not sure if that is the best idea. The arena is black light. The guns and sensors don't seem as high quality as others since I was aiming right at people and it would not hit them and the problem with the heat sensors. Also they only can do red or blue colors not other colors for teams. So I doubt we will probably do this one again when there are lots of other lazer tag places around chattanoooga that have better arenas and guns. See more..
