Beautiful quiet for kayaking
I did not use the dog park. It always looks super busy. I went for a kayak launch and it's my favorite one around. There are steps down to the water and you get in and go downstream and can get out on the other side of the park. We usually take two cars and put one at the launch and one at the end point so we don't have to leave our kayaks and walk to the car. The creek is always deep year round from what we have seen and we honestly never see any other kayakers on the route. It's beautiful, peaceful and we always see lots of wildlife. Great place!t The wall picture is included because it's such an optical illusion. It looks like you are going downhill and fascinates us every time!

Love love love!
I had been wanting to go to Greenway Farms since we moved here and go kayaking. I didn't have a kayak till this last summer and my neighbor ended up getting one as well. When we went kayaking at this place, I was in heaven. It is so secluded and we were like the only ones on the water at the time. It's an easy trip and just beautiful. I felt like I was in the Mohicans in Ohio which brought me back to my childhood. It also felt like the strip where I had been white water rafting in Colorado. Each time we see so much wildlife. Definitely one of my favorite things to do in Chattanooga! We've been back several times since.

A great place to walk your dog
Greenway Farms is a great treasure for the Hixson area. It has over 5 miles of walking trails that are perfect for walking the dog, running and even some easy off road biking. There are two dog parks: one for large and one for small dogs. There are canoe/kayak put ins to explore North Chickamauga Creek. There is a large pavilion that can be rented for parties and other gatherings. In Autumn the tree on the hillsides above the Farm turn and the colors are some of the best in the area. Greenway Farms is often a picturesque backdrop for family/couples portraits. My wife takes out dog there nearly every weekend year round and I often join her. I often suggest a visit to out often visitors to the Hixson area.
