This was my first time rafting and I’m glad it was with Sierra Mac. A few friends and I booked a two day adventure and had a great time from start to finish. Our guides (Heather, Rhea, and Daniel) were super knowledgeable and were fun to interact with. Our boat had Heather as our guide and she kept us safe, but allowed us to enjoy the river inside and outside of the boat. Meals were very good, filling, and made fresh with quality ingredients. I will definitely be back next year and I would also recommend this trip to anyone thinking of doing it. See more..

We recently completed our second backcountry backpack trip with Yosemite Guide Service. Last year it was just the two of us but this year it was us two and four friends. Every step, every view, every climb, every descent, and every swim in a frigid alpine lake was totally worth it. John is a professional guide in every way, enhancing our hikes with knowledge of the majestic Sierra plants, flowers, ecology, geology, and more. We did a four-night, five-day adventure starting near Mammoth Lakes, then out to Thousand Island Lake, Garnet Lake, and Shadow Lake. John's customized service, hospitality, sense of humor, and great personality made the trip all that much more enjoyable. We will likely book a third trip with him next season ( if he'll have us, of course!) Anyway, don't hesitate to book any kind of adventure with him. See more..

For Father’s Day, I treated my father to a fly fishing trip with Echo. Bryant, our guide, took us into Yosemite valley where we spent the day in the river with amazing views all around. Bryant was super fun and patient with me while teaching me to fly fish. My dad picked it up much more quickly than I did and caught several trout! Watching the setting sun light up El Cap while standing in the Merced River was truly awesome. Bryant was personable, professional and a great teacher. Highly recommended!! See more..

A family trip was difficult this summer with Covid. Tom Freer, Jordan and JP of ARTA made it work. Three boats, 1 for each faimily, a night at Camp Lotus with masks and social distancing all around; we were able to get together and keep covid at bay! The three crew members fed us, regaled us with stories, showed the children what a wonderful adventure our rivers give us. American South Fork trip was good for the 8 to 15 year olds. See more..

What a value and great course. So I am an owner and NOT a golfer but I was able to accompany a good friend who is a golfer. First the price is stupid cheap, he mentioned that this course is worth 2 or 3x what he was paying. The course is a beauty and you will not go wrong. There is a great little lake in Pinecrest with a beach area for swimming and motor boats/ paddle boats/ pontoon boats to rent. The lake is small but clean. The fisherman out on the lake said it’s good for trout fishing. There is a general store in Pinecrest with food and general camping supplies. The food is pricy (as you would expect given how remote you are). If you are up for a drive you can take the windy mountain road up 10,000 feet to the top for some great views. See more..

The Marina has many facilities - picnic tables, nice restrooms, a food takeout, kayak hire, summer inflatables and rafts in the summer, security boats tootling up and down ... but watch out for the goose poop! They clean it every morning, and have goose-dog patrols to try and keep the geese away. 4th of July gets very crowded for the great fireworks, but otherwise plenty of space and lots of sun and laughter.
