  1. 5.0 Hellgate Jetboat Excursions (908 reviews)
    - If you do nothing else, take a Jet Boat ride!
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM Nature & Wildlife Tours • Speed Boats Tours
    Hellgate Jetboat Excursions image
If you visit Grants Pass, Oregon, or if you are going to be passing through, take the time to go on a Jet Boat ride! You will not be disappointed. The tickets vary in price for length of ride and/or if you want to do the breakfast or lunch that goes along with the price. I definitely recommend the shorter one-hour ride for the elderly or small children who are unfamiliar with water etiquette or are afraid of the water. My recommendation as far as dressing is light and casual, because you are almost guaranteed to get soaking wet. Denims are a definite no-no on this boat ride, as they tend to stay wet and get heavy, the wetter they are. Wear light cotton pants or shorts are even better. The Captains here know these waters and are entertaining as well. Give them a generous tip, because you will not be disappointed in their rhetoric, stories, or boating maneuvers. Wearing makeup and having your hair done for this excursion is a definite waste of time ladies. See more..

This place is one of the most friendly places to shop with a wonderful and helpful staff. They do sell stuff that leans towards the high end. You won't find 20 dollars pans and equipment here. You will find quality brands like all clad and its ilk. So if that is what you are shopping for please come down and support this independent business. And as much as I love small business I do love my wallet and have compared prices online and I have found that their this place is not overpriced. Riverside Park drew us as we were looking for a place to take our grandchild just to unwind a little bit. Highlights included the ducks and geese that roamed freely through out the park (but mainly along the river). One needs to keep a close eye on smaller ones as access to the water might draw them too close for comfort for them. Lots of equipment for them to climb on so it will keep their attention for a longer time span. See more..

    Grants Pass Caveman image
I have lived in Grants Pass for over 50 years and went to Grants Pass High School...home of the Cavemen! I am proyd to be a caveman! There are some people who feel the caveman is a terrible symbol for our community. But I would assume that nearly 100% of those people have moved here from somewhere else and don't appreciate the history. I guess I'm not politically correct... LOL! But I don't want to ever see our caveman disappear! See more..
