  1. 5.0 Thorncrest Farm and Milk House Chocolate (49 reviews)
    - It's name is "Milk House" for a good reason
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
Thorncrest Farm and Milk House Chocolate image
Lots of reviewers are saying that Kim's chocolates are terrific (no argument there!) but the milk from their dairy is so good it's worth the trip to Thorncrest Farm even if you're not buying chocolates. At $6.50 a gallon you will pay more than you might at the grocery; but, if you're in the habit of buying half gallons because of freshness issues, go ahead and get a gallon here. It is so fresh that your refrigerator will keep it good for weeks and it might be more economical than those two half gallons you've been buying. And it's really good! See more..
  2. 5.0 Ivy Mountain State Park (1 review)
    - A lovely walk, great for dogs.
    State Parks
Great walk but moderate difficulty because of inclines and very rocky footing. 110 minutes, not quite 2 hours at steady pace. Last 1 mile on road back to parking. Beautiful running water, woodland and birds, marsh and top of rolling hills. Wear sturdy boots and not sneakers. Watch for white paint markings on trees. Parked on road right side of road before garage on left. If you pass the amazing stone wall or bridge you have gone too far. Really worth your time, you will be glad you went. See more..

Amazing park. The owner was very nice and making jokes. The museum inside had all of the animals you can think of. Outside you can buy food to feed the animals. The entrance fee is very affordable, compare to other Zoo parka we have been to. These guys need better advertismen, for more parents to see the place and bring their kids. See more..

Meet farmers, chefs and artisans amongst the vineyards Local residents, weekenders, savvy chefs, and tourists flock to the lively market that pops up outside this picturesque Connecticut vineyard, in the rolling Litchfield Hills. Every Saturday, July through October, market tents cast their shade across an extraordinary variety of fruits and vegetables as well as prepared foods- there is even musical entertainment as well. Take some time and step inside the rustic tasting room and try some traditional European crafted wines and maybe purchase a glass or bottle to enjoy as you stroll through the market or picnic overlooking the vineyards.
