  1. 5.0 Chepachet Farms (2 reviews)
    - what a great visit
    Spent 1-2 hours Farms
Great place to pop in for pure Maple syrup and Maple Syrup products, or fresh eggs or to visit the animals. The 2 venues ( indoor and a new outdoor pavilion) are great for parties and events. We have held both Christmas parties and bridal showers there. The staff is ultra professional, grounds are immaculate and the sense of being welcomed is unmeasurable. Oh yeah, we also took the horse drawn hay ride. A must if you are in Chepachet. See more..
  2. 5.0 Chepachet Village Wine and Spirits (1 review)
    - Excellent Wine and Liquor Shop, Lovely People
    Saturday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
Excellent selection, great prices, lovely people. I was visiting friends just nearby and went here to get some wine for dinner. Being from wine country in California I know a fair amount about wine. I was looking for good, organic red and rose wines, preferably sulfite free. Kevin, the owner, is an incredibly kind, neighborly and knowledgeable man. He had recently made an effort to get organic and sulfite free wines and showed me around and explained everything to me in detail and helped me find exactly what I wanted. I was so impressed that I bought about six bottles, instead of just the two I had come in for. See more..

Brown and Hopkins Country Store image
We stopped in the store to buy a souvenir magnet and ended up staying for almost an hour. Apparently this is one of the oldest country stores in business in the United States. The clerk that work there spent a lot of time explaining when the building was constructed and showing us some of the interesting architectural features. See more..
  4. 4.5 Mulberry Vineyard (13 reviews)
    - Perfect Sunday afternoon
    Saturday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards

Wonderful vineyard and great live music. Hard to find a perfect Sunday afternoon during the pandemic, but this was it. Everyone was so friendly, the wine was delicious (took a few bottles home as well). I loved their pitchers of sangria. The music on Sunday the 23rd of August was perfect. We brought our own chairs and a little picnic basket with snacks. Our friend did the wine tasting and loved it. Everyone was far apart in the fresh air. It was a perfect day. Thank you. We will be back. See more..
  5. 4.5 Pulaski State Park and Recreational Area (6 reviews)
    - Lovely spot any time of the year.
Spent More than 3 hours State Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
We moved to CT so we would be closer to Pulaski. It is a favorite cross country skiing destination of ours. The trails are especially beautiful just after a snow fall. It's also a wonderful place for hiking and swimming in the summer. Perfect for a picnic and just sitting by the pond all times of the year. Peaceful and serene. See more..
  6. 4.5 The Town Trader Antiques (6 reviews)
    - Great selection of all sorts of antiques and collectibles
    Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops
    The Town Trader Antiques image
The Town Trader Antique Store is located in a 1690's trading post, and is the oldest building in Chepachet Village. This is the easiest Chepachet antique shop to navigate, as it is all on one floor. The others have steep stairs to climb if you want to visit the second floor. Prices here are good, and every year, we find a treasure to buy. Lots of rooms filled with items, and lots of choices. If you plan to visit the antique shops in this Historic District, best bet is to park in one of the parking lots, and walk around. There is free street parking on the narrow Putnam Pike, but due to traffic, it can sometimes be difficult to get out of those parking spots. See more..

    - Great Hiking on the North/South Trail (NST) in Buck Hill Management Area
    Hiking Trails
Buck Hill Management Area is the Northern Terminus for the North South Trail (NST). The North South Trail goes from Buck Hill Management area in Gloucester, RI to Blue Shutters Beach in Charlestown, RI and is 78 miles total. This part of the hike takes you through Buck Hill Management area. Beautiful hiking in the woods. The trailhead is approximately 1/2 mile in from the parking lot. When the trail forks off, stay to the left to get to the trailhead. The North South trail is marked with rectangular blue blazes. You will find the trail register at the large white cross. This was a peaceful hike. We didn't encounter anyone else the whole time we hiked through Buck Hill. See more..
  10. 4.0 The Old Post Office Antiques (3 reviews)
    - Another fun Antique Shop in Chepachet
Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
The Old Post Office Antiques image
This is another two level shop, with steep stairs to get to the second story. Lots of rooms, with lots of stuff. Narrow passageways as this is an old building. Time is needed (especially upstairs) to poke through things, however, there are things worth finding, and the prices are good. Gentle "rescue" dog stays near the entrance, and loves to be petted.
