Phenomenal hike! Let me repeat-phenomenal hike. Rough road leaving to hike. 7-8 miles of potholes. Parking lot fills up quickly, but there is plenty of parking leading up to the trailhead. Trail conditions are fine. Hike starts with relatively level hike. Cross a bridge and you begin to climb for about a mile. You emerge from the climb which is mostly forested to views of Mt Baker. I don’t want to give away anymore. Experience it for yourself. See more..

  12. 4.5 Twin Lakes (3 reviews)
    - Great Day!!
    Bodies of Water
Twin Lakes was snow free for the first time in three August visits. We made the 7 mile drive up the gravel road and found ample parking at the lakes. There were many people camping but we were able to find a nice spot by the second lake for lunch and some fishing. We caught several small trout on spinners and had fun playing by the lake. The only somber note of the day was a hiker that had been missing for a week was found dead and we saw search and rescue take his body out via 4-wheeler. Have fun, but be careful while enjoying the outdoors!!!! See more..
