    Wild West Rafting image
My wife and I booked a half day whitewater rafting trip as part of our weekend anniversary trip to Yellowstone National Park. Absolutely zero complains from us! The guys and gals of Wild West Rafting know exactly how to show you an awesome time on the river. Professional and experienced guides is what you pay for, but they also throw in some jokes and stories throughout the day to keep you entertained lol. Big shout out to our guide, Andrew, for making this part of our trip so memorable for my wife and I; you were awesome my man! Another shoutout to the photographer working there, I never caught your name, but our pictures turned out great, so thank you for that! If you're planing a trip to Yellowstone and whitewater rafting is on the agenda, I highly recommend Wild West Rafting, you won't regret booking with them. See more..

My husband and I booked the one hour horseback ride followed by an 8 mile river raft tour down the Yellowstone river. Both were Fantastic! The horseback ride offered gorgeous views and very easy well trained horses. We had Leen for the rafting guide, she was very fun and knowledgeable about the area, again stunning views of this gorgeous area, I would highly recommend both adventures. See more..

    - Rafting A Blast!

    Montana Whitewater image
Our family of 10 enjoyed an adventure of a lifetime on a raft guided by Sophie on the Yellowstone River in Gardiner. We laughed, sang songs, rode the “bull” we later renamed as the hood ornament, and deepened our family bonding. The price was reasonable and the level of rapids was perfect for beginners as well as those more adventurous. See more..
  4. 5.0 Yellowstone Wolf Tracker (686 reviews)
    - Best group to watch wolves with in Yellowstone
    Multi-day Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Yellowstone Wolf Tracker image
This is an amazing group of people with a long history with wolves in Yellowstone. We did the 6-day Autumn Wolf Watch Premium vacation with them, and it was fantastic. Be prepared to get up very early (well before sunrise) to be in the park for the best wolf activity viewing. Note: in the park you must remain at lest 100 yards from wolves and grizzly bears. Most watching occurs at distances at least 1/2 mile. YWT provides really good, quality spotting scopes so you can see the wolves very clearly even at great distances. They also provide you afterwards with videos taken through the scopes. See more..
  5. 5.0 Paradise Adventure Company (576 reviews)
    - Exciting Raft Trip down Yellowstone River. (Rafting has recovered in area; the road to Gardiner repaired)
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Hiking & Camping Tours • Horseback Riding Tours
    Paradise Adventure Company image
Kelsey (also known as "Wonder Beard") was our guide on this class II and class III adventure just north of Yellowstone. His knowledge of rafting, safety and the river were excellent -- he showed us a great time! He was also there during the record flooding that closed Yellowstone and destroyed houses in the area a few weeks earlier. Luckily the town of Gardiner MT is in solid shape, and rafting is open and running. Please support the local Gardiner area, which also has great food (the "Wonderland Cafe and Lodge" was the best food of our whole MT trip!), lodging, the Roosevelt Arch (albeit Yellowstone's north entrance still closed atm), and lots of rafting. At the end of June, which is normally peak season (but was interrupted by the earlier flooding), this treasure of a town has availability of lodging, short wait times for restaurants, and open slots for rafting. We were easily able to travel to Gardiner via roads from Livingston MT. See more..
  6. 5.0 Yellowstone Raft Company (523 reviews)
    - Highlight of our vacation!
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
    Yellowstone Raft Company image
Our guides Sawyer and Kelsie were great! Not knowing how to swim, they made this experience enjoyable and safe for me. Our kids, ages 12 and 16, were entertained with the guides stories about the mountains and the community of Garnier and helping paddle. This trip was just the right mix of thrill and excitement for first time rafters. See more..
  7. 5.0 Yellowstone Wild (485 reviews)
    - Outstanding guide and Yellowstone tour
Saturday: 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM Hiking & Camping Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Yellowstone Wild image
I want to thank Yellowstone Wild for the wonderful day we spent touring the park. We are a family of four (two teenagers) that visited the park about a month after the awful floods. We had booked our stay at the North end of the park and were delighted to find this company that was using the still restricted North entrance for tours. Our tour guide - Travis - is a Navy veteran who was absolutely fantastic. Our day started at six am and ended at six pm, and throughout the day Travis regaled us with stories on the history, geology, flora and fauna of the park. He showed us nooks and crannies on the tour that we would never have found on our own. He even changed the itinerary slightly so we could see more wildlife. We learned so much and my two teenagers will leave the park with so many nuggets of information to bring on future trips. Thank you Travis!! I also want to commend the company for being so understanding of food allergies. My daughter has multiple food allergies and I was touched to see that the company had carefully packed a separate lunch for her. These little details mean a lot when you are traveling on the road with family. I would happily come back to these folks! See more..

Yellowstone Insight - Day Tours image
I have lived in the Yellowstone area for 40 years and have seen a wide variety of touring guides. A handful of them are extremely knowledgable, experienced, and dedicated. When my sister from Massachusetts and her husband told me they were coming for a visit, I knew I would be bringing them around Yellowstone, but not like an educated guide would. So I called MacNeil right away to book early since he is my first choice. He was communicative, planned in advance well, knew what was going on where in the Park, and gave them an unforgettable tour packed with details you could never figure out on your own. My sister said it helped them understand so much more about Yellowstone and what's happening every day here. It helped them plan what they wanted to do more of, and what they wanted to do next in their week here. They were in good hands and I'm so glad he was available! See more..
  9. 5.0 In Our Nature Guiding Services (258 reviews)
    - Wonderful Experiences!!
Saturday: 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM Sightseeing Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
In Our Nature Guiding Services image
We booked In Our Nature Guides for two tours: a 6 mile hike in Yellowstone and the early morning nature viewing. The hike was excellent. Nancy, our guide, is a fountain of information! She also had an amazing eye for spotting tracks and other evidence of animals such as paw prints, markings on trees, and lots and lots of different types of poop. The kids asked questions for 6 hours straight and Nancy fielded them brilliantly! The early morning nature viewing was a very cool experience. We got to see a pack of wolves frolicking in a field, many bison, and mountain goats. Nancy and Cara did a wonderful job managing our party of 8 with the scopes and keeping us moving to keep the kids' attention spans. We would highly recommend this group of guides. In hindsight, we were very happy we didn't try to do it all on our own. It is a much better experience to go with someone who knows where and when to be! See more..
  10. 5.0 Walking Shadow Ecology Tours of Yellowstone (63 reviews)
    - Great Day with the Best Guide!

Walking Shadow Ecology Tours of Yellowstone image
We visited YNP one month after the flood and were only able to gain access to the park through the north gate was with a private guide. Ashea took us on a full day tour of the park. She had the car packed with wonderful snacks, multiple scopes and binoculars for wildlife viewing and was so knowledgeable that we just soaked it all up! We got to see bison, elk and a wolf chasing a grizzly. She took us to the upper and lower falls, yellowstone lake and timed it just right to have lunch and then see Old Faithful erupt. On the way back to the north entrance we saw the hot springs and finished up at Mammoth Springs. It was a very full day and we packed in probably 3 days worth of sights into that day. I can't imagine trying to navigate and figure out which areas to stop on our own. Having a guide was worth it and having one with over 25 years of experience and so much knowledge even better! Thank you so much Ashea- what a wonderful experience you gave my family. See more..

    - Fantastic Day Tour of Yellowstone Park
Multi-day Tours • Safaris • Hiking & Camping Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
    Yellowstone Journeys image
This tour will be one of the highlights of my trip. We had 11 in our group and our tour guide, Nolan, planned the trip for our age group and abilities. He did a wonderful job of working within the constraints caused by the flooding this year and the resulting road construction. We had plenty of time at the most popular places but also stopped at a number of places that are less well known. Nolan is a local guy, very personable in nature and knowledgeable about the area. He has a dry sense of humor and provided lots of colorful stories while we were driving. Thoroughly enjoyable day. I highly recommend this tour! See more..
  12. 5.0 Lamar Valley Touring (49 reviews)
    - Magical day with Audra
Multi-day Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
    Lamar Valley Touring image
Every once in a while we are blessed and touched beyond words. On a chilly September morning, I and a couple of my friends, experienced just that. Within the first hour we were observing wolves playing in a valley… magical… This alone would have been worth the tour itself. Audra, the owner of Lamar Valley Touring took us to places of Yellowstone we never would have found ourselves. The animals she had us encounter and view, including birds, is priceless. Her professionalism, knowledge and passion for what she does was evident throughout our full day tour. If you want an experience of a lifetime, Lamar Valley Touring is your only choice. I can not wait to bring my family and have Audra wow them as she did us! Thank you… you’re incredible! Boja See more..

Beyond Expectations! 5 adults could not have experienced a better tour. We spent 2 days in Yellowstone with Evan who enthusiastically shared his passion for all things Yellowstone, especially the wildlife. We were so impressed with his depth of knowledge exhibited through his captivating stories and intuition. Never would we have seen the wildlife or experienced the park the way we did without Evan. He was early, provided a very clean and comfortable vehicle, with tons of snacks and beverages. Day 1 we saw the beautiful landscape of the park and day 2 he focused on wildlife. We saw lots of grizzlies, wolves, moose, dear, elk, mountain goats, herds of bison and many bird varieties. His equipment was top of the line- 5 scopes adjusted for 5 different heights. Evan sincerely cared about our experience. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Don’t hesitate to hire Evan. He will not disappoint! See more..

    - Great wildlife trip

    Yellowstone Wildlife Profiles image
I went on a Yellowstone Wildlife Profiles Wolf Watching Tour in March of this year, guided by Brad. The whole trip was fabulous. Brad is a great naturalist who has an almost uncanny ability to spot wildlife. Brad would stop the car and point out eagles, pronghorns, elk, and of course the ubiquitous bison. We even saw fox, moose and a mountain goat among others. Every day, we would go out before dawn to arrive deep in Yellowstone as the sun came up. The beautiful scenery and variety of wildlife was astonishing. While no one can make sure the wolves will actually show themselves, we saw wolves every day. It is an incomparable feeling to hear wolf howls in the clean, clear air of early morning against a backdrop of snow- covered mountains. We travelled in a comfortable van, and all of the group’s creature comforts were attended to- hot coffee, home-made muffins or scones after the first sighting of the morning; sufficient rest stops, water, and picnic or restaurant lunches. Excellent binoculars were provided to everyone in the group, and Brad quickly set up sighting scopes that gave us a great close view of the animals. Our trip included interesting and informative lectures with local wildlife experts. I highly recommend Yellowstone Wildlife Profiles and Brad. See more..

We had a wonderful experience horseback riding at Stermitz Ranch! The drive up to the ranch was in itself scenic and memorable as the road winds its way up the mountain next to a babbling creek. The ranch is vast and beautiful. Our wrangler Sierra was amazing and gave us a great tour on horseback. She was sweet and truly made it an authentic Montana experience. Our winter wildlife tour was amazing!! Our guide was super-engaging and SO incredibly knowledgeable! Because of her knowledge of the park, we were lucky enough to see everything on our "American safari list" (even moose, wolf and a hibernating bear!). She was also willing to go along with our group's craziness / sense of fun, even to the point of demonstrating what the different animals sound like :) - her bison in rut impression is fantastic! I plan to donate / become a member of Yellowstone Forever, simply because of her and her passion for the work that you all do! See more..

    Yellowstone Gifts & Sweets image
Stopped here looking for a couple Yellowstone trinkets to bring back to the family. This shop is clean and well organized with a nice selection. Prices are about what you'd expect and generally a bit less than you'd pay inside the park. They have a lovely chocolate counter and as you might guess a lot of huckleberry treats! I appreciate that they are following the governor's order and requiring masks. They also have ample hand sanitizer throughout the store. Though Karen in the prior review may have been upset that she had to wear a mask for 20 minutes, it's important to me that they are taking my health and the health of others seriously! See more..
