  1. 5.0 TrainTopia (8 reviews)
    - Great personal model train collection
    Monday: Spent < 1 hour Children's Museums
    TrainTopia image
Amazing personal collection of model trains. Definitely do the scavenger hunts. It helps you see more details. Take the time to learn about the collection from the staff. It made the visit so much more meaningful. We did not do the outdoor train tour as we have a large transportation museum in our home town, so I can’t comment on that portion. See more..

Went on a recommendation from a friend and out of all the beer pubs I've been to in the Dallas area this had the best selection hands down. They had something for everyone to drink and as a bonus it is pet friendly. See more..
  5. 5.0 Theatre Frisco (2 reviews)
    - Not Broadway, but Very Entertaining
    Theaters
    Theatre Frisco image
Frisco’s black box theater, located in the Discovery Center, is far off Broadway but certainly deserves attention. My wife and I attended a performance of Red Flannel Shirt and chuckled our way through the well tuned humor. The set was ideally designed for the play and the performance space. The acting was laudable for a community theater. We would like to see better offerings for intermission, but the art exhibit outside the theater provide some entertainment and opportunities for engaging conversations. We’ll be interested to see how the theater grows as interest and financial support for the arts grow in Frisco. The theater, for now, provides a nice space for very competent community theater. 6. 5.0 EQ Kids Club (1 review)
    - Fantastic place for the kids and parents too!
    Playgrounds
    EQ Kids Club image
We visited this lovely kids play venue with kids aged 6, 3 and 0. This venue is spotlessly clean, with a number of different areas for play, each with sensory items for the kids to create and learn from a life scenario. The owner Marcia has a serene, friendly and welcoming manner and is clearly very skilled and passionate about developing children’s learning through the experience of touch, sound, sight, creation and imagination. There is a comfortable area for grown ups to sit whilst kids enjoy themselves. Kids are able to choose a complimentary snack. There are small gifts available for purchase. The highlight for all of us was using the augmented reality sandbox - super cool computer assisted learning tool - as you create different topography within the sandbox a unique projected image is overlaid creating a live environment which is enchanting and amazing. We experienced ocean, safari and seasons. We went yesterday and this morning at breakfast the children asked if we could visit again so that’s about the best compliment possible!! We will be back! Riders Field image
The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 12 seasons (2005-2016). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg and Scott Sonju. The new ownership group, together with the city of Frisco, has spearheaded numerous major franchise improvements over the past two seasons, investing more than $7 million in a wide array of facility upgrades and improvements, including a new state-of-the-art HD video board, sound system, Bull Moose Saloon, InTouch Grille, Riders Outpost Team Store, and the newest and biggest creation, the 174-foot Choctaw Lazy River. The upgrades made prior to the 2015 season earned the Riders and the City of Frisco "Best Ballpark Renovation" of 2015 by Ballpark Digest. The same publication also honored the Choctaw Lazy River as the best ballpark improvement over $1 million for the 2016 season. More than 140 former RoughRiders players have gone on to play Major League Baseball, including All-Stars Chris Davis, Adrian Gonzalez, Ian Kinsler, and Nelson Cruz, as well as current Rangers stars Elvis Andrus, Rougned Odor, and Nomar Mazara. Stonebriar Centre image
Stonebriar is an excellent mall that features a variety of shops from low cost to high end and many classic brand names. Stonebriar also features an AMC cinema above it, perfect for a family outing. The only problems I would say is the food court is lacking and the design of the mall itself is difficult as it is just a straight line meaning you have to walk from one end to the other and if you forget something you have to walk all the way back to the other end, rather than a circular design like a lot of malls. See more..

    - Nice facility
    Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM Arenas & Stadiums
The Ford Center at The Star image
We went here for a Sesame Street performance with Elmo. Well run event but the extra fees were ridiculous. Tickets were $69 per person plus $21 fee per ticket. Then meet and greet was another $25 per person. Then the concessions and souvenirs were not cheap. At least parking was free. I am not sure how much of this is the Ford Center but it really makes for an expensive event. See more..
