The Frisco Veterans Memorial in the Frisco Commons Park is a place worth visiting. It is located just beyond the large, center pavilion. The Memorial includes the original 1948 Veterans Memorial urn, a veterans Walk of Honor, the Wall of Honor, a Battlefield Cross, the Gold Star Family Memorial Monument, WWII Flyboy statue and information plaques on wars and conflicts since Frisco was founded in 1902. An audio guide is now available discussing the Memorial's history, the meaning of the various elements at the Memorial, veteran comments, facts and interesting stories. You will most likely leave the Memorial knowing it is a living tribute to veterans, and not simply a part of a nice park in Frisco. See more..

Nice little shaded park with the Shawnee Trail Cattle Drive statues. There is a pathway that winds by a creek and up to a mural area. Engravings in the concrete steps have facts about this trail and the cattle drives from Texas to Kansas. Very interesting. Sculptures are larger than life. People were having picnics under the trees. Ducks were swimming in the creek. Very peaceful and calm. Good for history buffs. See more..
