   If you go to the sterling hill mining museum, this museum won’t have a ton to add, but it’s very cheap and old school and has a lot of cool minerals. They also have their own fluorescent minerals room. To see the museum at sterling hill, you have to take the two hour mine tour, so this spot is an option if you want to see some glowing rocks in less time. They have a replica mine you can see, but it’s nowhere near as impressive the actual sterling hill mine. They have exhibits on local rocks, indigenous artifacts, and fossils. You can pay an additional fee if you’d like to search for rocks out back in their rock field. Worth at least a short stop whether you are sterling hill or not, depending on your agenda and how much time you have. See more..

   Good food, wonderful atmosphere. We were seated next to (but not TOO close) to the fireplace in the dining room, which was perfect for a cold late-autumn day.
