This is a "must see" if you are interested in the history, industry or technology of the Erie Canal. Strongly recommend you visit both ends of the park. The Ft. Hunter end has the visitor center and view of the canal expansion aqueduct and the Amsterdam-side still has remains of the locks and even water in the canal. Special thanks to the guide Dave who opened up the visitor center and exhibits even though they were not yet opened for the season. The park is also very beautiful. Pack lunch, wear sneakers for nice stroll or hike, or bring a bike. See more..
