   Nature & Wildlife Areas
   Fort Drum is actually more of a Military Installation than a Recreation Area so you do have to pass through an Access Point and submit to a background check (if you don't have a Military ID) before visiting. There is a museum on post that's free to visit but check its limited hours before trying to go. There are also lots of parks! My favorites are the two near the library as well as the big one at Remington Park - just follow the road aalll the way around until you run into it. There's also one that's good for littler kids over my the MWR Cottages. You can swim in Remington Pond during the summer but the times are limited (Summer 2019 it's only open on the weekend).
