We travelled with our 8 year old grandson on a 3 night White Cliffs trip, and the pace of the excursion, the support & involvement of the guides, the unique setting were perfect for his first big outdoor adventure. We were hit by a pretty wicked storm on our second night and I can't say enough about the professionalism demonstrated by the guides, as they checked on every guest's safety, rebuilt tents, and gathered canoes & gear that were strewn several hundred yards downstream. Fresh pots of coffee and french toast were served the next morning as if nothing happened! See more..

    Shep Memorial image
The timeless story about Shep is one of legends. It’s the story of the faithfulness between a dog and the owner. “Until death do us part.” If you end up in Fort Benton, or you are passing by Fort Benton, it is worth the stop to learn about this legendary dog that faithfully waited for the return of his master at the railroad station until the day he died. It’s a heart wrenching story that I was told as a kid in the 70’s, but I still hold near and dear to my heart now that I am in my 50’s. Shep is buried on top of a hill overlooking the railroad and Fort Benton. A small monument has been placed at Shep’s gravesite. See more..
