This is one of our favorite welcome centers. I can ask a question and receive the exact resource I'm looking for. I asked about restaurant locations in Foley and was given a map and a listing of nearly all the restaurants in Foley. I asked about coupons and was given a large perforated flyer of discount coupons for many businesses in Foley. When I asked about other routes to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach aside from Hwy 59, I was given a map of Baldwin County which we've used to get to several communities on the peninsula. We also love the location of the welcome center since it's adjacent to the train museum and kiddy-korner from the Book Exchange which is one of the best book stores on the peninsula. The Foley Welcome Center will continue to be an annual stop for us. See more..

This non profit Arts and Crafts gallery represents over 150 artist and craftsmen from through out the southeast. Their handcrafted work is sold on consignment. You may find original artwork, prints, photography, sculpture, pottery, wood carvings, jewelry, textiles, stain glass, porcelain, fused glass, home made candles and many gift ideas. The Foley Art Center has sponsored two annual Events for more than forty years. Art in the Park,a fine Arts and Crafts Show, which is always Mother's Day weekend in the John B Foley Park with approximately 100 fine artists and craftsmen. The atmosphere of The Tavern is very diverse depending on the day you go. Friday nights it is very energetic, Saturdays go back and forth but usually are pretty decently packed out, Sunday is free pool night, and every other day of the week is very relaxed, but still enough energy to keep you going all night since they don't close till the sun comes up. The bartenders are nice and very competent. The security team is very watchful. Met with the owner and his son personally which was cool. A new owner, trying to build the business. A stage, nice music with an intimate atmosphere. We went to a concert and believe it or not to Big Time Professional Wrestling on another evening ( wifes says it's fake) LOL. We just retired and I don't think I have ever seen her enjoy herself like she did this evening and I'm telling you I thought she might be mad at me for taking her. She had never been and it was a darn hoot and a half, lot's of fun and the price was right. He also did an oldies concert, had an Elvis impersonator there another evening. A Valentines dance and dinner. This gentlemen is doing his best to build this place and I hope he succeeds. He has a great venue, food is great. They did a corn hole tourney inside also while we were down there. Get on his e-mail, give some different things a shot and support this gentleman, He is trying to offer great family entertainment. While we were staying in Gulf Shores My wife happened upon this while searching for things to do inside as it had gotten too cold for the beach. Great family run little petting zoo and only $9 per person with a cup of carrots another $3. Fed goats, lama, kangaroo. Animals were very friendly and love to be fed and pet. Was fun for adults that wanted to act like kids! Plan on no more than an hour but it will be an enjoyable one. See more..

My husband and I both look for small collectibles (whimsical and shabby chic) and this place really different offer anything like that. They did offer furniture, other types of collectibles, kitchenware, glassware, ceramics, pottery, art and things along that line. It was well organized and clean. Even though they had some nice items there wasn't anything of interest to us. If you are in the area it would be worth a stop anyway.
