This is a great trip. My wife, son in law and myself went on the Little Assawoman Back Bay tour and everyone enjoyed themselves. My wife had never kayaked before and our guide Justin was very reassuring. My wife and I chose a tandem and I sat in the back because I was experienced. The tour lasted 1 1/2 hours which was just long enough. We kept a good pace, no one was left behind, and we saw quite a bit of wildlife. I had used Coastal Kayak on an Outer Banks vacation and when I saw they were near Ocean City, MD, I booked immediately. This is a very well run outfit with quality name kayaks and gear and their rental fees are very reasonable. I have kayaked myself for over 25 years and own two kayaks. Azure Mt is a short but steep climb. It's in the middle of nowhere, albeit a pretty nowhere! We stayed at Deer Valley Trails - beautiful, clean, new spacious rooms, and the restaurant is right there too. The trail is very easy to follow - it took us out of shape 60 yr olds an hour to summit. We spent an hour on top - it was that pretty! Follow the trail to the left of the fire tower to the boulder - good place to picnic. Took us 45 min to descend. Great climb for when you don't have time for a high peak, but want to feel like you are on top of the world :) See more..

I stopped in the Waverly Historical Society to do some genealogy research. I was greeted upon my entry and asked if I needed any assistance. I took the opportunity to look around and was very impressed with the extensive collection of local memorabilia! So much to see! The host was incredibly knowledgeable and took time to show me the museum highlights. I have lived in the Valley for over 25 years and had never visited before. I highly recommend this local gem!! best beach, they have a sand net that lets older folks get to the water. people are great, they have beaches were you can bring your dogs, and the dogs are very nice. I should not recommend Fenwick, it is to cool, would hate too see it become over priced, with to many people. See more..

This is one of the best museums I have ever been to and I have travelled to some of the best museums around the world. It is small but mighty, particularly if you live within a few states of Delaware as it will speak to you on a personal level. One factor that made our visit so exceptional was that the owner was on site. The diverse and exquisite exhibits held their own, but with the owner on site to point out special items and provide background stories added priceless dimension to items that might have otherwise been passed with glancing interest. The week we visited Fenwick Island was hot, so I had delayed our visit to Golf Down under until we reached the last day. I needn't have waited! There was a great ocean breeze until after noon when we finished our first round. Perfect timing for the free ice cream with playing all day! The second round our group of 6 broke in to two groups of three (good idea since it was so hot!), and while we enjoyed our second round, we were are thankful for the ice cold bottled water ($1 each) at the end. Just right! Tips: 1. Military discount with ID 2. Go early, before noon. A few stairs, not designed for strollers! This was such a fun adventure for our whole family of 5 adults and 4 children ages 7,5,4 and 3. Each child was given a pirate name, had their face painted and dressed in pirate gear before setting sail in search of the "pirate booty". The crew was very entertaining for both the children and the adults with their double sided jokes. The entire trip held excitement for the kids with searching for a map, fighting off Pirate Pete with water cannons and the grand finale of locating the treasure and hoisting it on board. Each child got a pouch with goodies in it and came back with a wonderful memories and an exciting story to tell. That certainly was the highlight of our trip! When we come back, will do this again. My 6 & 10 yr old grandsons loved this park. We got the 4-hour pass and they spent all the time. There isn’t a lot for teens/adults-only 2 slides big enough for older kids. There’s a nice lazy river, 3 smaller slides, a tipping bucket/ship, along with a 0-entry pool and splash pad area. Staff was friendly and seemed well staffed with the life guards. It’s a relatively small park, but perfect for the 12 & under crowd. We were there on a Sunday in July and I was surprised it never got crowded; plenty of chairs and shaded area.
