  4. 5.0 Federal Way Discount Guns Shooting Range (1 review)
    - They put safety first
    Monday: Shooting Ranges
Federal Way Discount Guns Shooting Range image
Training, practice and familiarity are so important to self defense, and we all need a place to practice safely. I was pleased to find a range that permits shotgun practice. New to this area, friendly staff walked me through their rules before letting me on to the range. Very much appreciated. See more..
  5. 5.0 Dumas Bay Centre Park (1 review)
    - Tranquil and serene, a hidden gem
    Bodies of Water
    Dumas Bay Centre Park image
This is off the beaten path, actually an enjoyable drive through some very beautiful forest to get there, but it's well within the city of Federal Way. Parking lot was largely empty, and it's very peaceful. This is a park to enjoy some quiet time, sit at a picnic table or the gazebo, and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There's a nice view of the sound. This review will fade as other, newer, reviews take its place, but if you end up coming here and agree, do us all a favor and add a nice rating and some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). Great to see quality places thrive. See more..
  6. 5.0 Sacajawea Park (1 review)
    - This is a HAPPENING park in a HAPPENING community
    Parks
    Sacajawea Park image
Oh my gosh, this park was BUSY! Parking lot was not full but had a LOT of cars, the tennis courts had a really organized thing going on with a ton of spectators and family members on lawns, the soccer field had a zillion things going, there were kids riding bikes on the paths, and it just had a great vibe. Is it always this way? Beats me but what a great, well-used park. Fun!! This review will fade as other, newer, reviews take its place, but if you end up coming here and agree, do us all a favor and add a nice rating and some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). 8. 4.5 Federal Way Community Center (28 reviews)
    - Open Family Swim
Monday: 5:30 AM - 9:30 PM Sports Camps & Clinics
    Federal Way Community Center image
When your hotel has their pool being renovated, this is a perfect place to go to get the kids their pool fix. The price is bit pricey for 2 hours of swim (if you get there exactly on open swim). But 2 hours goes by quickly and its perfect amount of time to spend in the pool. The slide was fun for all ages and the lazy river was nice relaxing time. See more..

    - Lots of options

Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center image
This is a great swimming center with lots of different options besides the main lap pool. There is a 17' deep diving pool next to the lap pool. There is also a shallow pool for younger kids with a pirate themed area (although it's not a playground area). A lot of clubs practice here so plan accordingly. See more..

  11. 4.5 Century Theatres (12 reviews)
    - Our Favorite Theater.
    Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters
    Century Theatres image
We have gone to this theater for years. If I had one complaint is that the popcorn doesn't always tastes fresh. However, we've never had any issues with staff or cleanliness. Occasionally when movies are sold out and are at peak theater times, things might get a little messy from people who weren't taught to clean up after themselves. We love the barrier walls between rows. We ESPECIALLY enjoy being a member of their movie club. We get a free ticket every month, if for some reason we miss going during a month it rolls over. There are no ticket fees either when you purchase online either. During the time they were closed during pandemic, they didn't charge the monthly fee, and previously earned tickets were still available to use. I love that I can choose my seats prior to showing up at the theater. See more..

  14. 4.5 Happy Foot Massage (3 reviews)
    - Great massage for a very reasonable price.
    Spent 1-2 hours Spas
    Happy Foot Massage image
Over the years I have tried plenty of “Foot Massage” at different cities from Bellevue to North Seattle, now here. The massage I got today was above average. The place is quiet enough in the morning with some distance loud chatting from employees on and off. Their front door makes loud noise whenever someone is in or out which is pretty annoying. They primarily massage your feet for about 20 minutes (hense foot massage), then spent about 35 minutes massage your face, head, neck, shoulders, arms and back. Unlike a massage in a single private room, you keep your clothes on and lay on a lowered bed (near other beds) and a sheet covers you while your feet are in warm water till its time to work on them. I feel quite relaxed afterwords. Very good value. See more..
  15. 4.5 Abbe Winery (2 reviews)
    - Sipping wine in the sunshine
    Wineries & Vineyards
    Abbe Winery image
We recently found this wonderful little winery and enjoyed a afternoon of sunshine good company and wine there. You will find it hard to believe that you are conveniently very close to the highway . You will hear no highway noise and see no concrete. What you will see are beautiful vineyards rolling out in front of where you sit sipping your wine. The wine was very good and I feel reasonably priced. The owner was very informative helpful and welcoming. The day we were there they were grilling up paella it looks so delicious but we had just had a Father's Day brunch but will return hungry. We will return and we will bring friends this wonderful little spot. Do yourself a favor and find this little oasis. See more..
  16. 4.5 Steel Lake Park (2 reviews)
    - What a great family day place to go
    Bodies of Water
    Steel Lake Park image
This is a great park. There is swimming in the lake, you can kayak (no motorized boats allowed), a world-class play structure, and there are concessions too. And picnic tables, lawns to play, plenty of parking. Well, several different parking lots, so even if the lakeside lot is full, there are others. A really pleasant place to come and play. This review will fade as other, newer, reviews take its place, but if you end up going here and agree, do us all a favor and add a nice rating and some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). 17. 4.0 Dash Point State Park (162 reviews)
    - Nice for a few hours on a sunny day
    State Parks
    Dash Point State Park image
On a sunny day in June my family visited this park for the first time, mainly to check out the beach and hike through one of their trails in the woods with our dog. The parking lot wasn't very full, and they do require a Discovery Pass. We walked down to the beach area which was wide open with the tide all the way out. Very sandy beach, with a few pavilions for cookout parties. The view of the water at the beach was nice, but not as good as Discovery Park. We next hiked one of the trails into the forested area. The hiking trails were in good shape, but the park needs to put up more signage. It's easy to get lost because of all the cross trails and forks. We ended up having to back track and go back down the same trail to get back to our car. See more..

  21. 3.5 Trampoline Nation (15 reviews)
    - Birthday fun!
Monday: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Game & Entertainment Centers
    Trampoline Nation image
It is now called Trampoline Sportz. Went for my nieces birthday party here. Very crowded place. The one thing I want to mention is there’s no security, we just walked in - no questions asked. There’s no communication from management, we were booked into room #2. The room smelled heavily of chlorine, couldn’t breathe. We couldn’t get inside the room for about 25 minutes. I understand that maybe the people before us may have left a mess to be cleaned by staff but they should clean with safe chemicals. Due to this we were running late leaving and instead of making an announcement in advance staff came in saying they will charge 50$ for every 15 minutes over. We had to rush to get out. Definitely not very professional, may need better management or better staff. Overall kids had fun jumping around, thanks! See more..
  22. 3.5 Palace Spa (7 reviews)
    - Scrub, dip, relax
    Spas
    Palace Spa image
This is a wonderful place for the price. Full body scrub and use of their faculty for under $100. There are 3 tubs with various temperature of water, steam and dry sauna, various other hot and cold rooms to visit. Go early prior to your scrub to relax and try all the pools and saunas. The scrub is a full body and includes a facial and a massage. After your day of scrubbing and soaking, they have all the amenities you need to get ready for the world. Including toothbrushes. Everyone was very friendly, however speak very little English. Great place to spend a day! See more..
  23. 2.0 French Lake Park (1 review)
    - Not Coming Back
    Parks
    French Lake Park image
I was told to go check this place out because its so much bigger than the dog park we normally go to. I went with my family which includes 2 kids 6 and under. The park is indeed huge, but fairly dirty too. We were already kinda not wanting to be there, but kids were having a great time. Then while we were walking the perimiter of the park with our dog 2 guys got in a fist fight. FIST FIGHT! In a dog park, and not a bar. I don't need my kids seeing this, or God forbid for some whacko to come to the dog park trying to shoot up the place because his dog is stupid and he can't control his emotions. Other parks are available. Not a great experience. See more..
