Looking for a long necklace to wear with a handmade sterling silver and turquoise pendant. Found a beautiful handcrafted chain that is a perfect fit! Artist's name came with the piece, making it all the more special, and the price was very do-able. The ladies who assisted us (I believe, one was the owner) were so kind, fun, and the sweet girl who had welcomed us and actually took care of the sale, reminded me of one of our granddaughters! Wonderful artisan showcase, a must when traveling through Farmington! See more..

    River Rafting & Tubing
    Desert River Guides image
Just had a great experience with Desert River Guides. We were in Farmington for the day and booked a 2 hour rafting trip. We happened to visit during a period of low water so we had a very relaxed, scenic float down the San Juan River. The staff and owner were very friendly and ensured we had a great time. The kids were able to swim in some areas and played with water guns on the raft. They also gave us some great recommendations for local places to check out for sightseeing and dining. The whole family had a great time! See more..

If you've ever wanted to up your 4x4 game, Black Bear in Farmington has got you covered. They have a great array of tours, from 1hr to half day, full day, and sunset tours. You can opt for ride along (in their jeep) or follow along (in your own vehicle). If you ride along, they will take you into as little or as much gnar as you can handle. If you follow, they will make sure you get the most out of your rig. Danny and Jenny were awesome. I can't imagine going back to Farmington without hooking up with them again. See more..

We passed by this 1000 year old native american ruins on our way to Taos and we turned around to go back and check it out. We were able to enjoy everything in about an hour. The people working there were very friendly and informative. It turned out to be quite interesting and well worth our time to stop. There is a small charge ($4) to get in to the museum and walk the around the ruins, but it is nonetheless very highly recommended. See more..

    B-Square Ranch image
We went to the electromechanical museum. The tour took two hours and was fantastic. If you are old enough to remember most of the stuff it is interesting, but if you aren't that old it is truly educational. There is a giant collection of old electronics, some huge machines, lots of old farm equipment,a steam engine, a tank, and a DC3. Even a few hours will only allow a brief introduction. You need to call in advance to make a reservation. 505-325-4275 See more..
  13. 4.5 Lions Wilderness Park Amphitheater (19 reviews)
    - Great Theater
    Theaters
    Lions Wilderness Park Amphitheater image
Saw Pirates of Penzance 7/21/22. It was fantastic. Lighting and sound were both great, especially for an outdoor theater. The orchestra and cast were top quality even though the ticket price was VERY low. A shout out to one of the maidens (the one holding the nightstick after the constable-pirate fight). Her gestures, body language, and facial expressions were hilarious from "showing a bit of leg" to flirt with Frederick to wiping her hands after a pirate touched them. See more..

The owner, John, took us on a great tour of the whole place including the stills. No way you will leave here unsatisfied, thanks John!!!!! Don't be afraid of the hot chili, get it for your burger. All breweries should measure themselves against Three Rivers! See more..
  18. 4.0 Farmington Lake (17 reviews)
    - Paddleboard and swim
Spent 2-3 hours Bodies of Water
    Farmington Lake image
In the summer, I come here at least twice a week. I love to paddleboard and swim at The Beach. There are paddleboard rentals, but aren’t always open. The Beach has huge inflatables to swim out to and play. The water gets deep fairly quickly so not so strong swimmers may need a floatation device. There are lifeguards and a small snack shack. You may bring your own snacks/drinks. See more..
