- 4.0 Fallbrook Brewing (7 reviews)
-Great micro brews
Friday: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Breweries
FBC is my go-to place on the weekend. A true family atmosphere, live music once in a while. The beer is brewed by the people who serve you and they take great pride in what they do. One of the problems with a small place like this is that sometimes your favorite brew is not available because everything is hand made. My favorite is "Good Brown Beer", a nut brown ale that goes down easily. If you don't drink beer try the yummy root beer floats. The root beer is also hand crafted and rich. Friday and Saturday you will often find local bands playing and food provided by local caterers or restaurants. If you want, you can even bring your own food, socialize and enjoy the music. Kid friendly, filled with local contacts, FBC even permits well-behaved dogs to hang-out with their masters. Children run in and out with glee and safety. This is a must see when they are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, but remember, this is Fallbrook and they close by 9:30 if not earlier. See more..

My wife and I found ourselves wanting to try something other than wines in Temecula Ava so thought we would try a few spots in the San Diego wine region. - 3.0 Emerald Forest Bird Gardens (3 reviews)
-Beautiful birds!
Nature & Wildlife Areas
My husband and I went here last week and were amazed by all the beautiful birds. Tours are by appointment only and cost $35 per person, so don't just show up without booking a tour, because owner Jerry may not be there. There are approximately 300+ birds on the premises, all in large outdoor cages. Everything from toucans to macaws and more. Jerry raises all types of exotic birds and some are also for sale. He is a true bird lover and has done much to protect birds in Peru and Costa Rica as well. The gardens are between Temecula and Escondido, so if you were going to make a trip to the Safari Park in Escondido and you REALLY like birds, you may want to book an appointment the day before or after to go to Emerald Forest. It's not like an amusement parkt - it's simply a large bird sanctuary set on acres of private property. We really enjoyed our visit and thought Jerry was great. See more..
