   Newly relocated and opened in September 2017, this museum has found a very appropriate home in the 1791 Leveret Bradley House, fronting onto the East Haven Green next to Christ and The Epiphany Church. Treasures collected and maintained by the East Haven Historical Society are expertly displayed throughout four rooms of the house on the first and second floors. Artifacts range from all manner of hand tools, for farming and boat building, to an exquisite wedding gown from the 1800's. The house itself has retained its charm and many of its original fixtures. The museum is open Sundays, May through November. Admission is free and donations are gratefully accepted. Spend a morning or afternoon immersed in history!    The Shoreline Trolley Museum is a true em. We've lived in the area for 37 years and never visited it until now! What a wonderful surprise! It was a pure joy to be there. The trolleys are the real deal, including the actual "Streetcar Named Desire!" The crown jewel is the PATH train that survived 9/11. It brings that fateful day to life, serving as a time machine to 2001. Wow. Great volunteer staff including hilarious guys who drive the trolleys. The kids on the trolley were beaming with joy as they rolled along, and even got to ring the bell. This museum is a small gem and should be preserved and promoted for generations to come.    This offers strong family beach vibes. Parking $35 for us. Another beach that didn't appear over crowded. Probably because of the $35 fee. Make sure to bring some bug spray.    This lovely park seems to be frequently forgotten, as it's fairly quiet despite its beauty. It has a small parking lot and a few trails of varying challenge levels that offer pretty views of the river and which run along the Long Island Sound.    Great place for families with young children or for train buffs of all ages. They have a museum, gift shop and offer rides on actual historic trolleys. I found out while there that regular folks can drive (pilot?) the trolley but I think there make me additional costs or restrictions. Trolley offers special events for Easter, Christmas and Halloween scare trolley ride for the kids. See more..
