   Great wines from the higher altitudes of New Mexico. The wines are award-winning. The tasting room staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I did a tasting of estate wines and they were so fruit-forward with a crisp acidity that made the flavors dance across the palate.    The Rift Gallery in Dixon, NM is a lovely contemporary art gallery offering locally made pieces of art. Each piece is unique to the artist who created it. I loved browsing the gallery and the attached stone yard. The owners of the gallery are a wonderful couple and they have their own pieces for sale in the gallery. I ended up buying several pieces of the ceramics created by one of the owners of the gallery. Not only were the pieces beautiful but they were functional for use in my home. I never have enough bowls, plates and cups in my house so finding this gallery was a real treat. I also loved the original stone carvings that are featured in the store. On most days you can talk to the artist himself about the fascinating art of stone carving!
