This is one of our favorite "go-to" places. We hitch our bikes to our car, park nearby, and go off on the bike path from Centinela to Playa del Rey or sometimes Manhattan Beach. We stop to eat at a little place off the path in Playa del Rey, then continue on our way or turn back. You coast along the canal and then off you are on the beautiful beach. People are polite, the energy is lovely...a real gift. See more..

After only having to wait 5 minutes, my masseuse Niki gave me one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time. She asked me about my concerns and made sure during the time that she was staying on course. The hot stones are soothing as well and she made sure that the stone was not in one area long enough to burn me. It was very soothing. I will return and ask for Niki again. See more..

Nice views of LA atop steep stairs. Street parking is available across as well as on the same block. No entrance fee is needed. You can also park on top of the hill (paid parking). If you don’t want to take the stairs, you can take the more winding dirt trails either up or down. No dogs allowed. Public restrooms are available at the center at the top. During covid, there was a mix of people wearing masks/not wearing masks. The stairs are steep and make for a good workout. There is railing if you need to hold onto something while going down. It’s a good spot for a group workout or to catch up with a friend. It’s nearby plenty of Culver City restaurants to grab a bite afterwards. See more..

The Kirk Douglas Theater is located in the heart of little downtown Culver City. It used to be a movie house and was built sometime in the late 40s or early 50s. It has been redone to the way it was and it is beautiful. The theater is small and intimate. It is the perfect place to see a play. It is run by the Center Theater Group, which also runs the bigger houses in downtown Los Angeles. The Douglas tends to have newer plays, sometimes viewing there for the first time. Parking is either on the street or in the back. You will find a space. The pricing is wonderful for such great plays they put on. You will love it, if you like original theater. The children had a great time, the staff was friendly and informative. The group was large so the staff decided into two groups. The first group went to see the different rescued animals and learned alot about endangered animals, the environment and things we all can do to protect the animals and our environment the other half got to learn more about specific animals and had the opportunity to touch them. They got to touch a monitor lizard, they got to touch a tortoise, and they got to touch a tarantula foot a low one, rather than a high five. All on all a very good time was had by all. See more..

A nice place to stop and shop that’s just outside of the touristy places here in LA. A lot of stores and restaurants to grab a quick bite or two. I had one of the best massages in my LIFE! No joke, from a massage stand outside of the Nordstrom’s (on the third floor) I recommend anyone to try. Overall a mall is a mall you seen one; you’ve seen them all. However, I would recommend Nordstrom’s and Macy’s. They had a lot of marked downs at the time I visited. See more..

Everybody kept to themselves more or less and the bartender poured a heavy drink. I am from the Midwest and I was surprised to see all of the Packers paraphernalia on the walls. The gallery owner and assistant were very rude, aloof and brusque. They ignored me when I walked in(nobody else was there). When I asked questions; they also acted like they couldn't be bothered. The Gallery is also poorly designed and setup. It just feels like being in a small warehouse/storage room with no energy and personality. It could also use some seats for customers. On the plus side, I was very impressed with the quality/creativity of the paintings/artists. The works are very well done and well painted. Prices are also reasonable. So atmosphere/staff gets 2 stars and paintings 5 for a 3 star result. See more..
