The instructors and videographers jumping with us were INCREDIBLE. I felt so safe the entire time and cannot say enough good things about them. I tandem jumped with Ben Griswold, and I could not have asked for a better first skydive. THANK YOU, BEN!! I’m so sad that I can’t remember the names of all the others who were with us, but they all made our experience so great (I went with 2 friends). 10/10 there for sure. The only factors that could’ve made our day smoother would be: more communication as far as how much $ we owe (and a heads up that we will have to buy goggles), and a little more notice that the jump would be in Gadsden instead of Cullman (I realize this is temporary and probably has nothing to do with the workers we met that day). I highly recommend skydiving here!!!! See more..

This farm is the best for any family with any age including fun for the adults too. I highly recommend you go for an entire day at least 4 hours or you won't get to do everything. They have a huge variety of food and bathrooms scattered all over the farm. Some bathrooms are portable but most are normal with hand washing stations. The maze was real good and high corn. They have a cannon shoot candy out of it and the kids can do trick or treating on the ground lol. They have a piggy race. There is a tubing hill that goes pretty fast yet not so scary. There's a zip line and roller coaster that goes around 3x. In the gift shop they have cute 4D Farm shirts for sale along with other drinks and if its a hot day it has a/c. Hay ride to go pick out pumpkins. There is so much more that I didn't list of things to do here. It was worth the 1 hour drive. We will be back and as a new family tradition. See more..

We love covered bridges. We have been here before but never miss a chance to visit again if in the area. Of course we were blessed with meeting someone new and interesting while at the bridge. He started a conversation with us and ended up singing a couple of ballads for us. His name was Steve and he was a HOBO in the past. He and his lovely wife traveled to different HOBO conventions. He told us that there is a past documentary on National Geographic called "Love those Trains" on You Tube. He is on the show twice singing. At the end he is singing over the credits "I've been everywhere Man". Go view the documentary. It's very interesting. We are so happy that we decided to visit this bridge again. See more..

Opening in 1975 the Museum has become a point of pride for the community whose history its walls contain. The Museum has displays covering many eras and interest. There are many interactive features in the Museum including the popular Arrowhead Rubbing table. Tour groups are welcome and "step-on" tours can be arranged for a first hand experience of the community. Always worth a stop when passing through Cullman; it is very close to I-65 Exit 308. They have smoked meats, cheeses, vegetables, jellies/jams, pickled everything, salad dressings, peanut butter that they make themselves, candies, popcorn, and more. It's a small store but laid out well for browsing, and has an inviting atmosphere. They have an upcharge for using credit cards so take some cash with you. I HIGHLY recommend the blood orange and the Duck River Dunker and the big Bridge IPA. Well, heck, everything I tried was good. Several months ago a friend of mine recommended to me the Maple Ridge Gun Club. My son and I with several friends took the advice and ventured to the MRGC for a morning of shooting rifles and pistols. We arrived using Google maps which is a must otherwise you will get lost. The office is a rustic cabin with a large table for sitting around and more importantly, a fireplace. On a cold morning, it was nice to have coffee in front of the fire before going out to the range. We each ponied up $20 for shooting and we're given targets, a stapler for the targets and eye and ear protection. The MRGC has one dedicated pistol range, a pistol and rifle range out to 50 yards and a rifle range out to 500 yards. There is a clay and skeet range too at an extra cost but I have not tried it yet. The pistol and rifle ranges are well kept and we had more than enough room to fire. Several other individuals were at the range and even though the parking lot was full we did not feel crowded. By the end of two hours, all of us were tired but content. For my group, we are looking forward to returning to the MRGC. The service is good and the range is in good shape with many safety precautions. See more..
