Fabulous Four

We love covered bridges. We have been here before but never miss a chance to visit again if in the area. Of course we were blessed with meeting someone new and interesting while at the bridge. He started a conversation with us and ended up singing a couple of ballads for us. His name was Steve and he was a HOBO in the past. He and his lovely wife traveled to different HOBO conventions. He told us that there is a past documentary on National Geographic called "Love those Trains" on You Tube. He is on the show twice singing. At the end he is singing over the credits "I've been everywhere Man". Go view the documentary. It's very interesting. We are so happy that we decided to visit this bridge again.

Just 15 miles west of I 65 at the 308 MM. This covered bridge stretches over 200 feet. There is a small museum and a tour guide. It is well-maintained by the local park and recreation department. It offers a nice break from interstate travel as there is a shady picnic area and photo opportunities.

History and beauty all in one.
This covered bridge has been well kept and clean. it is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the trip for historians and photographers alike. I would recommend that you visit on a clear day near sunset for the best lighting options. Spring, Summer, and fall are the best seasons to visit
