   This place is a hidden gem in Closter. The nature center has a variety of different trails to walk/hike through the woods. There are log cabins, chickens, bunnies, frogs, ducks, deer, cute wooden bridges to cross and lakes to fish in (catch and release). The nature center also hosts great classes for children that teach them about different animals. It's a great place for a family to go for a walk/hike and/or fish.    I had a perfect time here. After an intense and very busy week in NYC I finally find a spot that offered a perfect pool and several relaxing activities.    The Belskie Museum is a local museum specializing in local, student and international artists. It is more of a local museum and is only open on the weekends. It is more of studio art than a roving show. It is a nice way to spend the afternoon and the nice part of the art is a lot of it is for sale. They have student shows from the local town schools, college shows and local artists shows and showcase local talent. It is easy to miss and a pleasure to see. See more..

   Lupardi's nursery is closer to where we live than our usual spot and we just couldn't find the time to make the trek out to Vernon. My review is a comparison to what we are used to. The maze here is excellent! That is the definite highlight of visiting Lupardi's in the fall. They clearly spend a lot of time planning and cultivating the maze. The activities are above average. Of course the inflatable slide is a highlight for the kids who somehow have the ability to go up and down about 50 times in a row. The biggest issue is that pumpkin "picking" is more like pick a pumpkin that has already been picked and placed on the ground. My family likes to go out into the field and pick the pumpkins off the vine. Overall, a fun time, but if real pumpkin picking is your thing, find another spot. But if the maze is your thing, this is your spot. See more..
