Hiking Trails

We spent a day hiking a couple different trails in this area which isn't real easy to find or get to without forest service maps. We saw two people at one trailhead and none at the other. Both trails take you into very old cedar forests that have lots of ferns covering the ground. These trees are HUGE and some were seedlings when Columbus discovered America. The first area we went to has an outhouse and picnic tables and the loop trail is quite easy and short. The second trail takes you to historic lumber camp remains including an old steam donkey still in place. Extremely peaceful and scenic part of Idaho. See more..
