- 5.0 Liquid Expeditions Rafting (64 reviews)
-BEST. DAY.EVER. Amazing river fun!!
Sunday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
This really was an amazing day. Let me start by saying that I planned this trip because I thought my husband and kids would enjoy it--water is really not my thing. By the end of the day I was swimming down rapids and jumping off of 15 ft cliffs!!! Rael was great with kids and adults alike. His knowledge of the area and his love for the river are infectious. He picked us up at the treesort, served a delicious lunch and dropped up back home around dinner time. In a weekend of fun (horses, ziplines, treehouses) this experience was at the top. My family would have done it again the next day in a heart beat. I am so glad we found Liquid Expeditions and look forward to floating again next year. See more..

Captain Drake's flight lodge is a beautiful place to stay whether you are staying a night or for several weeks while engaged in your flight training. We are an adventure vacation destination flight school providing instruction for sport pilots and ultralight airmen. We also offer rooms for $60/ night to non-flying folks who just want to stay in a unique and special spot. We're not exactly a hotel and we're not quite a bed and breakfast (you wouldn't want me to cook for you) but we do have a great kitchen and you are welcome to use it! See more..
- 5.0 Treehouse Ziplines (11 reviews)
-Professionally organized and safe!
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
We enjoyed ziplining (not our first experience) with Matt, Angie and Chris. We did the ten-zip option and had a fabulous time. The focus was on safety at every step (or step off) of the way. The lines go in and out of the tree canopy adjacent to the Out and about Treesort. Kudos to all of the staff for running a top notch fun experience. See more..

- 4.5 Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve (594 reviews)
-Great tour; definitely worth the effort to drive up to the cave
Spent 2-3 hours National Parks • Caverns & Caves
ALERT: The Oregon Caves Chateau will be closed for rehabilitation throughout 2019 and 2020. Cave tours are still available late March through early November. The Oregon Caves is a place of adventure, wonder, and discovery. Join your guide and a small party of fellow cave explorers for a 90-minute tour. The route wends through narrow, twisting passages with ceilings as low as 45 inches! See strangely beautiful of stalactites, stalagmites, and other mysterious calcite flowstones. The route is moderately strenuous and not recommended for people with breathing, heart, knee or back issues. Children must be 42” tall or taller, no exceptions. The cave is 44 degrees year round. Tours are popular in the summer. Arrive early to avoid long waits or closures. Reservations are available at Recreation.gov. Cave tours offered late March to early November. There are a few wonderful trails to explore on the surface. See more..

If you are staying in the Grants Pass area or the Medford area, this is a great morning stop in conjunction visiting either the caves...or a day trip to the Redwoods (we usually take folks to the Trees of Mystery). There were 20+ of our clan staying here. We had the most awesome time at the tree houses! We were ages 6 months to 65 years old. The breakfasts were excellent. -A pleasure
Nature & Wildlife Areas
We were going to go on a hike in Oregon, but the humidity and heat were higher than what the forecast had predicted (that never happens ), so instead I suggested the boardwalk. It's less than a a half mile, easy, and educational. There are always different flowers blooming, and this day the new Darlingtonias were up. There's a fine view of the valley and mountains too. Limited parking, but it looks like they are working on creating more spaces. See more..

- 4.0 Tiger Preservation Center (13 reviews)
-Great experience! Hidden Gem
Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas
Stumbled upon this amazing place on a road trip from Seattle to Los Angeles. If I hadn't had such an attentive co-pilot we could have easily missed this amazing sanctuary. After turning in you'll follow a small dirt road that dead ends to a large gate. Upon arrival you'll be greeted by one of the owners. The tour is only $8 dollars and for what you're getting they could easily charge double. The place is loaded with a wide variety of exotic animals and each has its own unique story as to how they ended up in this small Oregon town. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to wonder the entire property and take everything in. We would have easily stayed all afternoon if I hadn't brought up our need to get back on the road. - 3.0 Illinois Valley Golf Club (1 review)
-On the comeback trail.....
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
Hi gang, I’ve been reading about the good time folks are having playing here so I stopped in. For the last several years the course was maintained by volunteers but had fallen further behind. They asked a former pro to come back and fix it up. A lot of work is now going back into the course, but it will take several more months to bring back to it’s old glory. The pro welcomed me to check out the course. Fairways were in decent shape, greens were healing. The peripheral areas are shaggy and cart paths are gravel at best. It’s a bit out of the way between Crescent City, Ca and Grants Pass Or. If you get a chance drop by and play it. Say hello to Rex, the old pro brought back to the course. He’s working hard on a grand plan to make it shine. Kudos to the greenskeepers who are working hard. Rich See more..
