  1. 5.0 Equestrian Wine Tours (137 reviews)
    - Best of two worlds! Riding and Wine Tasting
    Wine Tours & Tastings
    Equestrian Wine Tours image
This was our second time riding with Equestrian Wine Tours. Sarah and Amber are top-notch when it comes to safety, making sure everyone is having a good time, and entertaining with a fount of information about the area and vineyards. The mounts are very well trained and cared for Tennessee Walkers (which have an amazing smooth gait). And the views are gorgeous! There was a change in the wineries from the first time, a few years ago and I prefer what they've done; You now visit 2 wineries and spend more time riding amongst the beautifully maintained vineyards with expansive vistas. Highly recommend!! See more..

Chris James Cellars is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery that produces unique and interesting wines in Carlton, Oregon. We produced our first wines in 2015 and have since grown to offer a wide selection of whites, reds and sparkling wines. Our approach to white wines is to emphasize and preserve the varietal aromatics, flavor and acidity. In red wines we seek to develop intense flavors through harvest decisions and winemaking techniques during fermentation and focus on mouthfeel and silky texture during maturation. The tasting room is open Friday through Sunday, 12pm-5pm (February through November) and by appointment. The tasting room is tended by the cellar staff who are responsible for making the wines and can offer personalized winery and vineyard tours tailored to your interests. The tasting room is available for private events. See more..

We drove by the town of Carlton and wandered into the Gypsy Dancer Wines. What a pleasant surprise for us at the end of our trip to Oregon! 10. 5.0 Tendril Wine Cellars (4 reviews)
    - Great wines
    Sunday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Tendril Wine Cellars image
Cellar Door Wine Tours took us to Tendril Wine Cellars first on our 3-winery tour and warned us we'd like it best. We truly did. Each wine was delicious. I'm an Oregon pinot noir fan and they make great ones, but also loved their white pinot noir and rose. Tasting manager Andrew was delightful and kept us both informed and laughing! The tasting room is very small, but they also have outside picnic tables for warmer months. Make an appointment and enjoy! I signed up for the wine club as I enjoyed every sip. See more..
  11. 5.0 Seven of Hearts (2 reviews)
    - Best-value wines
Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards • Wine Bars
I was the only wine taster there and so got the undivided attention of the owner/winemaker, which greatly enhanced my experience. We spent more than an hour sampling 7 or 8 wines, going over the background of each. The vast majority of the wines was very good. But most importantly, they were not outrageously expensive. I bought a bottle made from their own grapes and enjoyed it that evening over dinner. It was delicious. See more..
  12. 5.0 Craft Wine Co (2 reviews)
    - Great service & very nice, interesting wines
This location was reported permanently closed Wineries & Vineyards
    Craft Wine Co image
Having enjoyed some Omero Pinot Noir in England, we decided to seek this place out while on holiday in Oregon. We used Google Maps to find it but it wasn't obvious when we arrived, it is a warehouse with a tasting area inside, but this does not detract from the experience, service and quality of what is on offer. We met Laura, who was so kind and helpful. She offered us a taste of all the wines she makes, and it was really interesting to compare the different styles of each of the three brands of wine made by the company. She was very friendly and helpful, and we would highly recommend a visit if you are seeking a genuine and authentic wine tasting experience. This was the first of many wineries we visited in Oregon, but this was by far our favourite wine tasting experience - no others matched up to it in terms of service and variety of wines. Thank you, Laura! See more..

  19. 4.5 Willamette Coast Ride (23 reviews)
    - Perfect riding adventure.
Spent More than 3 hours Horseback Riding Tours
    Willamette Coast Ride image
My husband and I came in August after COVID cancelled our previous vacation plans. Lindley was very accommodating of our short notice and helped me determine if the ride would be suitable for my husband who has horse experience but isn’t an expert rider. The first day we were welcomed and paired up with our horses. They had a few options of sturdy steeds and quickly found a nice match for each rider. The first morning we settled in with a ride around the property and hopping over a few ditches and then moved on to a winery in the afternoon. Each day of riding was fantastic, different from before and progressively more advanced which made for a perfect week. We had a blast and learned a lot from Justin on our rides. Galloping on the beach was such a treat and we can’t wait to come back. They were very thoughtful about social distancing, wearing masks and always having hand sanitizer. Thanks to Neiko, Peter, Sapphire, Primrose and Peter (aka White Lightening) for the rides! See more..

Cartlon Cellars is a great up and coming winery! The location is really convenient--walking distance from the Horseradish. We loved all of the wine. And the prices are great. Points of Interest & Landmarks
Our Lady of GuadalupeTrappist Abbey image
Pick up a map at Reception and walk up the trail to the Shrine of Our Lady. Quiet, cool and restful setting among the forest trees. At the Shrine there's a wonderful view over the Willamette Valley. On the return trip down, veer to the right at the first fork in the path and follow the sign to 'Mount Hood'. A short hike to a fenceline overlooking hills of beautiful vineyards with the mountain in the distance. Great way to spend a few hours communing with nature at the Abbey. See more..

  27. 2.0 The Tasting Room (1 review)
    - No thanks...
    Wineries & Vineyards
The tasting room was recommended to us because you could try wines from different wineries under one roof. It didn't happen. There were very few wines to taste, no water crackers, NO WATER, no spitoons and a bored server. It was a bad experience and expensive too. Just go to the wineries. It generally a better deal.
