    - Great Vino and Vibes

    Fujishin Family Cellars image
My husband and I had a great time visiting Fujishin Family Cellars in Caldwell, Idaho last month and tasting their wonderful wines. We loved so many we came home with 6 bottles. It worked out perfectly because we were invited to dinner at a friends home within a couple of nights and had one of their beautiful reds to take and share with two other couples. Complements to all the staff who were very friendly. Tasting samples were a generous pour and learning what made each wine special (some Award Winning) is what I love about visiting family owned wineries. Really great prices and atmosphere. Special thanks to Annie Morrison, Director of Hospitality Services, who showed us a wonderful time. See more..

    Williamson Orchard & Vineyard image
Williamson Orchards and Vineyards is located along the Sunnyslope Wine Trail within the Snake River Valley AVA. The Williamson family has been growing fruit here for four generations. By relying on our long-history and knowledge of the region we designed our vineyard to maximize the terroir of our high dessert location with the goal of producing stunning wines from high quality grapes. A great deal of time and thought went into the planting of our vines. From vineyard layout to the selection of grape varieties we wanted to ensure that our site would produce superior grapes. Our forethought, planning and hard work has paid off. Our wines have won countless awards and are recognized across the region for quality. We now have over 50 acres in vineyards, 8 varieties and 14 award winning wines. Visit our tasting room to experience some of the great wine being produced in Idaho. Expect a welcoming atmosphere steeped in old-fashioned, farm-charm along with honest and knowledgeable service. See more..
  3. 5.0 Snake River Wine Tours (19 reviews)
    - Fantastic day full of Idaho wine and a hostess who took the best care of us!
Taxis & Shuttles • Wine Tours & Tastings
    Snake River Wine Tours image
We had the BEST time with Samantha on Snake River Wine Tours! She picked us up at our hotel right on time (to the minute!), drove us to each winery as planned while giving us great history and background trivia tidbits along the way, and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. Idaho wine is truly amazing and this was such a wonderful way to experience it. I’d highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a fun day with some friends or looking to make friends with others. Our van was full of besties by the end of the day! See more..
  4. 5.0 Joe's Emporium (6 reviews)
    - Happy accident finding this gem!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops • Antique Shops
    Joe's Emporium image
On our last day in Boise, with time to kill before our flight we just hit the freeway and headed west. Drove through Nampa and didn't see much. Kept on it thinking we would get off in Caldwell, and turn around. Drove past lovely, and clearly in transition, downtown Caldwell. Decided to stop at an "antique" shop and ended up spending tons of time and a bit of money. This place has EVERYTHING you can think of and tons of stuff you couldn't imagine. Lots of the toys of my childhood beckoning me to waste money on them! Also a nice conversation with the proprietor, who I assume is Joe (?), about relocating from California. Great place, worth a visit. See more..
  5. 5.0 Whittenberger Planetarium (6 reviews)
    - Always new, always exciting
    Observatories & Planetariums
    Whittenberger Planetarium image
I've been to the planetarium three different times, and my kids and I have learned so much from every show. The presenter is knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic, and she welcomes questions and audience participation. It has never felt overly-rehearsed or too scripted; in fact, I love how sometimes an audience question mid-show will lead to the inclusion of slides and discussion that weren't planned. I also like how new shows are being offered all the time, based on public interest, recent scientific discoveries, and real-life events like upcoming eclipses, seasons, etc. I've been to other planetariums, but I love the smaller size and increased intimacy of this one. I get goosebumps every time the lights start dimming, and I look forward to catching more shows in the future! See more..

    Ste. Chapelle Winery image
AN IDAHO TRADITION Capturing the Unique Character of Every Vintage... Our goal at Ste. Chapelle is to capture the unique character of every vintage. Fine wine production in Idaho began in the 1860s, spurred by French and German immigrants. Indeed, the Pacific Northwest’s first wineries were in Idaho. In 1919, Prohibition shut down the state’s nationally renowned wine industry, but it was revived in the 1970s when wine grapes were again planted in southern Idaho’s Snake River Valley. The winery, founded in 1976, is open seven days a week. Experience the quality of Ste. Chapelle wines through wine tasting. For a $5 fee, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will guide you through a tasting of five wines. Tasting fee waived for our Friends of the Vineyard wine club members. Experience the Excitement of the Grape Crush... During fall harvest, visitors can experience the excitement of the grape crush in full swing. At other times, guides take guests through the cellars for an up-close tour of the processes of fermentation, aging and bottling. Beautiful, Elegant Facility & Award Winning Wines... Ste Chapelle Winery is a collage of fun, knowledgeable staff, award-winning wines and a beautiful, elegant facility. Our facility hosts weddings, corporate events, auctions, parties and meetings. Private Events - for additional information please complete our short "Request for More Event Information form" on our website, or contact our Hospitality Coordinator. The Ste. Chapelle Winery is the perfect getaway to host a memorable affair! Tours by appointment only, please call to make arrangements. See more..

    Koenig Distillery and Winery image
I sent an email a couple of days before my visit in order to make reservations and Tara responded right away confirming my reservation. The venue is beautiful and the views are stunning, I showed up a little early and my surprise was that Tara was there to personally greet me, and she also recognized me right away, how wonderful, that totally made my day. I got sitted only a couple minutes after, they are very accommodating, keep in mind it was a busy Sunday afternoon. My tastings were incredible, each of the wines were unique and full of personality, the explanation by the girls was helpful and shows how knowledgeable and professional they are, I ordered some charcuterie and it was tasty, paired really well with the wine. The time went by, I had a great time, even talked to some locals next time and sincerely I can't wait to go back!. I ended up getting a couple of bottles to-go, the Syrah and the Zinfandel, my favorites. See more..
