We have been to Broadkill Resort several times over the past few years and, no matter the season, the property is cozy and relaxing and just feels good. I suppose hygge is the word for it. The house is spacious yet there is a sense of privacy in its layout. There is a fireplace in the living room for cool evenings and in the winter as well as window air conditioning units in those upstairs bedrooms for summer. The walk to the beach is short and along an established path over the dunes. We have yet to see the beach crowded, even in the midst of summer. So many wonderful details (old-fashioned gas stove and metal tea kettle, yoga mats in every room, puzzles and games and hundreds of books and audiobooks available for use) make this a destination we return to time after time. A true retreat. See more..
