  4. 5.0 Lake Compounce (1 review)
    - Great little amusement park
    Amusement & Theme Parks
Lake Compounce has been our family go to theme park since I was a kid. It is small enough to cover in a day, but has enough attractions to make the visit worthwhile if you are in the area for a short time. There is a full water park with family pool, lazy river, wave pool, and multiple water slides, including the new "Venus Vortex". The main park features a fast but amazing coaster, "Phobia" and traditional rides such as bumper cars, merry go round, river raft ride, log flume, and pirate boat. There are many other rides, I suggest checking out the Lake Compounce website. There is a kiddy park as well and many places to eat (although the food selection is modest and the quality is what you might expect from a smaller theme park). I would highly recommend a visit (or more), especially with the family. See more..

    - Very classic old church
    Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
    St. Stanislaus Church image
Attended mass heer and the service itself was inspiring. The church has a very classic 50's look to it, with more modern but still beautiful stained glass windows. What makes it special and would appeal to anyone interested in art are the icons written by Marek Czarnecki. His has painted several larger ones and twelve the apostles on the pillars of the church and these are exceptionally beautiful. Worth a visit to this church just to see these. See more..

  12. 4.0 Spare Time Bristol (21 reviews)
    - Fantastic Chef
Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM Bowling Alleys
    Spare Time Bristol image
I decided to check this place because my friends just raved over the food and the Giant Pac Man game. I was told there was a new Chef in town and I had to check him out. I love food. One of the things I look for when I take my son out is the food. My son is a diabetic and the Chef came out and explained that he wanted to take care of my son the best way possible. That alone made me absolutely love this place. No where have I been has anyone be as accommodating as Chef Julian. He even brought our food out himself. I had the liberty of trying a Mozzarella stuffed meatball. By far the best meatball I've ever had in my life. I will definitely be making this a more frequent place that we visit just because of the chef. I've never had anyone make my sons disease a priority. That alone is all I needed to love this place. Good Job Chef keep up the good work. See more..
