The owner did a simply superb job on rennovating this local landmark, and making it a full-on microbrewery. So far, the beer choices have been great, and everything I've tried (four brews so far) have been wonderful. Make sure if you visit you take the time to vist all three levels of this beautiful building. The place is certainly busy, and I hope it stays that way. The help is all wonderful, and very accommodating. Although typically not really a place for kids, we did bring ours along, and they had bottled soda (some unique flavors), and that kept them interested. They do serve some limited snacks, but do encourage patrons to bring in food from any of the many (very) local establishments. Definitely make a point to stop here!!See more..
4.5MJR Digital Cinema 20(67 reviews) - Great except for faucets in ladies room. Spent 1-2 hours Movie Theaters
The faucets in the ladies room are disgusting. They either need to put new ones in or at least use a chemical called CLR on them. Another option is to get a water softener system installed. The build up on them is just awful. Otherwise I really enjoy going to this theatre, just cringe when I use the sink area in the bathroom.See more..
4.5Island Lake State Recreation Area(62 reviews) - Giant park, great for every outdoor activity State Parks • Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Both times I've come have been for mountain biking. I'm a newb at it so I considered it terrifying - which I guess means the mountain biking trails are great :) We parked at the beach both times, of which there was people swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Lots of walkers and regular street biking trails as well. See more..
4.0Mt. Brighton(41 reviews) - Very accommodating Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Ski & Snowboard Areas
My friend and I have two 5 year olds and a 7 year old between us. We did some classes which were good, but the staff after the lesson went above and beyond. The kids really wanted to go on the chair lift. While we were explaining how they need to do it, an instructor overheard us, grabbed two of his friends and took the kids on the chairs lift. They came down the hill with them and then did it all over again with them. One instructor for each kid, it was fantastic!! The women running the chair lift would automatically slow down the lift and then pull down the safety bar for them (they couldn’t reach it). She did this every time. We are very thankful and impressed.See more..
4.5Hometown Bicycles(20 reviews) - The Best Bike shop in all of the Midwest! Im not kidding!! Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Gear Rentals
Everyone in, around, and involved with our shop is here because they love bicycles, they love cyclists, and they LOVE getting cyclists BACK on their bicycles. Thanks to the world's coolest customers and community, we've grown from a tiny, service-only shop to a Bicycle Adventure Center that literally spans over half a roller rink. But our proudest accomplishment is that, through it all, we've stayed true to our core: 1) Bicycles aren't just what we do - they are the ONLY thing we do. Since we're the only single-sport bicycle shop in Livingston County, you can always expect 'exceptional'. 2) We're an anti-bike-snob operation - if it's a bicycle, we'll work on it! 3) We offer same-day repair with in-stock parts, and daily parts ordering. 4) Excuses are for the other guys. Our community has voted us Best Bike Shop in Southeast MI 4 years running, and our mission is to keep EARNING that level of loyalty and faith year after year. Family. Friendship. Fun. Freedom. That's how we roll here at Hometown Bicycles.See more..
4.0The Arcade(11 reviews) - Nice place Spent 1-2 hours Game & Entertainment Centers
Nice staff, very clean, but uncomfortably hot, as in sweating while standing still kind of hot. Would have been 5 stars but for the heat and the only other drawback - far too many unattended children. Yes, its an arcade, there will be children, but these little ones were not gaming, instead they were running, yelling, fighting, crawling under or bumping in to games or people, banging on and yanking on games etc.See more..
Cute theater, coffee and tea shop. It’s a big coffee shop. Cool counter area. We ordered the peppermint mocha, chai tea latte, mystic mint tea and a regular mocha. The mystic tea is lightly minty, smells more potent than once it is steeped. The peppermint mocha, mocha and chai latte were all good. See more..

4.5Studio West(5 reviews) - Great Learning Experience Tuesday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops I took a watercolor painting class here in October and had a great time. The instructor was knowledgeable in her field of art, and had a great stay of teaching. The facility is great, and I enjoyed going through the shop to buy local, affordable art pieces. I'll be back.See more..

4.0Dine With Jesus(1 review) - Something neat and different Churches & Cathedrals
Outdoor setting on the grounds of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. You can park and get out to walk around and look at the various items, read some signs, and then sit with Jesus on seats made of polished concrete, stone and glass. It is a life size bronze metal sculpture of Jesus at a table surrounded by 12 empty seats. A nice, serene, scenic place to relax or stretch the legs or take a short walk. Trees all around provide shade. There is a playground in the distance. A small cemetery as well.See more..
