Was happy that we reserved them ahead of time because we got a call the morning we were to pick them up (we were a little late getting there) to make sure we were coming! I visited Mind, Body & Sole because I read about their Ionic Foot Detox service. I suffer from fibromyalgia and was in a considerable amount of pain. Owner Kristina gave me a wonderful 30-minute stress relief massage and then I went to the foot detox tubs for a 30 minute session. It was amazing how I could actually feel the pain leaving my body! The atmosphere in the spa is warm and relaxing and very zen - I felt right at home. I can't believe the difference of when I got there to when I left! And I'm happy to say I remained pain-free for weeks after! This is a wonderful find for me and I would recommend 100% that you don't miss a visit to this wonderful wellness center and day spa! We took the kids here on a rainy day. First thing I noticed was the place was nicer than last year, the games were all functional and there were some newer games. The prices are on par with other arcades I've been to. They're are games for all ages, from ski ball, to air hockey, pinball, slots, and a number of younger kids games. Kurt the owner is so nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable! We bought 2 bikes from the Bethany shop, after renting them. The Interceptor is a great beach cruiser. Kurt explained how to use the bikes very thoroughly. My husband and I have had so much fun exploring the Delmarva area on our bikes. The petal assist is great when you are going against the wind! Very nice clean, dog and family friendly but small. Parking was meters or kiosk from 10 am to 11 pm every day. Best bet was to go to the state park beaches with fixed 10.00/ car per day. The free weekend concerts charge the area with excitement and sound against a sunset backdrop. They pack people in with great bands who listen to great free music while eating ice cream cones at sunset. Believe me, it's as terrible as it sounds... I fish right off the boardwalk in the mornings and watch the pelicans fly in formation as dolphins cruise the shoreline. Once I've assured myself that there are no fish in the ocean, I pack up, stopping at the donut shop right there for fresh, made to order AMAZING donuts, then head back to the rental and tell lies about all the fish I caught. On the east side of the bridge you can go on the beach and hang out. There is a sidewalk that goes from the east side of the bridge and extends all the way down quite a distance to the west and a great place to go fishing. This is a popular place during the summer months and a great place for taking pictures and it’s also nice at night when the bridge lights up in blue. We have been coming to Bethany since I was little, now that we have a little one, I am always looking for educational/fun activities... This place was absolutely wonderful! My daughter had a great time feeding the turtles, exploring with her butterfly net and playing on the playground. You could easily spend 2-3 hours here and there are beautiful picnic tables throughout the park. The trail out to the marshes is handicap accessible and totally worth the walk! Not far. Also a couple geocaches nearby if you are into that! The staff was wonderful, friendly and very kind to my curious (touching everything) toddler. Hand sanitizer awaits entering customers. I got a current bestseller, a history of Delmarva cuisine, something on medicinal plants, and a signed picture book for new parents for some friends. I wanted to spend hours, but since parking is difficult in the area, a friend was circling the area while I made me selections. This is a neat pirate-themed golf right downtown in Bethany. One of the girls working there was the daughter of the family who owns the course and she was very friendly and told us a lot about the course and all the little elements. Bear Trip Dunes is a modern, amenity rich community where families with children may rent condos or homes for vacation. Like us, proximity to the beautiful Bethany Beach, combined with Bear Trap's on-site amenities (pools, gym, tennis, beach shuttle and golf) make this an ideal spot for a family vacation. One can rent a home or condo either through individual owners and/or through a corporate entity. Once here, renters/visitors must purchase a $40 per-person per-week pass (not pro-rated by the day) to use the aforementioned amenities (with additional costs for golf). However, what we did NOT know before coming Bear Trap Dunes is the POOL POLICY. Families with children under 18 should be aware of the following pool policy. EVERY HOUR, ADULT SWIM IS PROVIDED FOR 15 MINUTES. FOR THE LAST 15 MINUTES OF THE HOUR, ALL PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST EXIT THE POOL. The lifeguards routinely enforce the policy, which we wish we had known. Families who do not expect to spend their days at the beach should consider this policy carefully. I actually love the apparel designs they have and I always make a point to stop here when I visit Bethany or shop online. Most of their shirts are 100% cotton and run small so I need to size up. The highest size they usually carry is XXL. It be nice if they carried larger sizes or maybe polyester so they don’t shrink for us larger fellas.
