Historic Walking Areas

This was a great place to explore in the middle of the woods. As you hike the grounds of the Watchung Reservation, you can learn the history of this mostly abandoned village. Most of the houses are dilapidated and in disrepair but there are history boards to read explaining the significance of each location. The barn has been restored and there is at least one house still in use. I would recommend this place to anyone that has even the smallest interest in history. We spent a couple hours on these grounds. It was a great afternoon of walking and learning. See more..
