This 30-acre forested park is a beautiful, quiet oasis in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It features well-maintained trails, with a slight grade, for walking or running. At the southeast corner of the park, there's also a small area that's been marked off for "nature play" - meaning little ones can go off-trail to play make-believe or look for bugs, etc. If you bring your dog, please follow leash and poop-scoop laws. It's usually not heavily used, so if you're visiting the Beaverton area and want a quiet nature break, this is a great place to seek out. Easily accessed off Murray Blvd. See more..

  6. 5.0 Saint Bartholomew's Episcopal Church (1 review)
    - Find a Spiritual Home
    Churches & Cathedrals
St. Barts, a part of the Episcopal Church USA embraces the Episcopal tradition and welcomes all. As an Episcopal Church, St Bart's provides both scriptural and liturgical worship. St. Bart's is well known in the community for its rich musical tradition. No one is told how to worship or what to believe. What remains important in the Episcopal Church is that each individual is free to pursue his or her own worship benefiting both from the scriptures which are read every service and the celebration of Christ's life, his passion, and his resurrection. In addition to worship, St Bart's is engaged actively in the community. For example, they operate a food pantry providing a wide range of normal groceries and meat. They also provide English as a second language to non-English speakers. The two rectors are available to provide comfort and guidance to anyone who asks for assistance. See more..

    Tualatin Hills Nature Park image
We made a quick stop here to stretch our legs and to enjoy the scenery on a recent visit to the Portland area. Lovely greenery everywhere and it smells fantastic. Would love to explore further one day! Only down side was that we felt nervous leaving anything in our car because there were multiple signs warning you not to leave anything of value there. Makes me wonder how often cars get broken into here. See more..

As I am a runner, I just happened upon this trail, felt really lucky, you can go a long way like from beaverton all the way to tigard, maybe further but that's a good 5 miles in each direction, flat easy running only several streets to cross, but to my suprise, cars actually stopped when crossing, doesn't happen in las vegas, bonus if your there during the summer you can stop and pick berries and eat them all along the way, doesn't get better than that...enjoy See more..

  17. 4.5 Bio Foot Reflexology & Massage (8 reviews)
    - Highly recommend Burnside Ave., Portland location!
    Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spas
Fantastic experience at Bio Foot on Burnside Ave. in Portland, OR. We had two reflexology treatments and one full body massage. The manager was highly skilled and knowledgeable. She did an extra therapeutical reflexology treatment after uncovering some issues in my initial massage. Lydia was great too! Clean and meticulous, relaxing except for Walgreen Customer Service announcements coming from the thin walled building next door! Did not take away from the experience though; only made it more fun and memorable. Great value! See more..

  19. 4.5 Powell's Books (5 reviews)
    - A large independent bookstore - part of a small local chain
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
    Powell's Books image
We had originally planned to visit the downtown location of Powell's but we happened to have dinner in Aloha, OR. This branch was relatively close, so we stopped by here instead. This is a large bookstore. If I lived in the area, I could picture becoming a 'regular' here. From what I observed, the store is well laid-out and labeled for easy reference. They appeared to have an extensive selection. It reminded me of a long-defunct 2 - 3 outlet chain in Atlanta from the 70s - 90s (Oxford Books), which I miss. This location also appeared to connect to a small mall-type shopping area, though it was closed and the large mostly-glass garage-type doors were shut. I'm glad we stopped by, but I'm sad that there is not some analog to this place where I live. See more..
  20. 4.0 Cinetopia Progress Ridge 14 (369 reviews)
    - Disappointing at best
    Sunday: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Theaters
    Cinetopia Progress Ridge 14 image
We were expecting a great dinner and fun experience at the new Cinetopis location. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and the service poor. After waiit staff kept walking by our table, ignoring us for 15 minutes, we had to flag down a manager to get table service. By then we had to rusht hrough our dinner to get to the movie on time. IThe food was okay but not great. The theatre seats were comfortable but we got stuck waiting for them to change our drinks (which we brought with us from dinner) into plastic glasses. Considering the added cost to tickets, this was not the experience we expected. Dave your money and pass on the meal! See more..

    Red Tail Golf Course image
I didn't have a love relationship with my current driver. Went to Redtail and worked with the manager Rob. LOVED HIM! The experience was great and he was awesome. Fitted me with a new driver that I love and he was very helpful and very kind. Explained everything to me and discussed the different clubs I tried. Decided to go back and trade in my old clubs for new irons. Highly recommend him! See more..

  24. 4.0 Laserport (14 reviews)
    - Laserport always gets it right!
Sunday: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Game & Entertainment Centers
This place always guarantees a good time for kids and adults! Every time I go to Laserport I have a great time and this was no exception. A round of laser tag is $6 or $7 a person (on weekend nights they do three games for $15) and to keep you entertained between rounds there are tons of video games all at $.25-$.50 a play. My suggestion for a great time for adults. Visit the attached bar called Copper Monkey first. Order some drinks and pizza (their pizza is seriously delicious!), play a round of laser tag next door and then enjoy your food. Laserport and Copper Monkey do a great job of working together to give you a single fun experience! See more..
  25. 4.0 Progress Lake Park (6 reviews)
    - My summer time secret for Beaverton
    Spent 1-2 hours Parks
    Progress Lake Park image
I almost hate to tell anyone about this place. This is my go to for my little kids on the hot summer days. Hidden around the bottom path, by the little lake/pond, is a perfect watering hole. At the top it’s like a city fountain multi level square pools, akin to very tiny Ira Keller fountain, but it cascades down into is man-made mini waterfall going under a bridged walkway, and down further into a quaint little waterfall pond feature. All this looks out over the pond, and is just beautiful in the evening glow. The water is not deep at all, though it is very cold, but still perfect for a little kids. I fearfully say it seems to be like a hidden gem, every summer evening I’ve taken my kids there it’s been relatively uncrowded. Grant it this is usually my weekday venture, given that is so close, and we don’t have to go to downtown Portland. See more..
  26. 4.0 Ponzi Historic Estate (2 reviews)
    - Cozy winery
    Sunday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
We were there with our three kids 6, 4 and 3 months. We did the tasting from Hamacher winery. The wines were good but not excellent except their Chardonnay. We ended up buying a bottle and drinking a little of it sitting outside on the patio. It was really cozy. The boys were playing with a fountain while we were having a little down time. Trust me, when you have three kids these moments are precious. We will return. We look forward to try more of their wine and return to this quiet jewel location. See more..
  27. 3.0 First Baptist Church of Beaverton (1 review)
    - A Sunday morning visit
    Churches & Cathedrals
Went her last year and it was comfortable enough, but seemed to be a mostly older congregation and a more traditional service. Whereas many churches now are mixing things up a bit with some traditional and some more contemporary elements, I did not see this at First Baptist of Beaverton. Very friendly, coffee and pastries after service and a very nice message given. See more..
