   The Aldrich Public Library is the public library serving the city of Barre, Vermont. It is located at 6 Washington Street in an architecturally distinguished Classical Revival building constructed in 1907-08 with funds bequeathed by Leonard Frost Aldrich, a local businessman, and was substantially enlarged in 2000. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.    This place is amazing! We spent over two hours, walking around and admiring the memorials - amazing works of art, all made of the famous Barre granite. We were so lucky to meet a local gentleman who was engraving a date on a stone. He told us all about the art of granite carving and engraving as well as several stories behind the memorials.    A fun, free thing to do in Waterbury. Our teenage kids loved the architecture of the building. There is an old Indian canoe, great old photos , artwork, & stories.     We were looking for this cemetery for my 5th Great Grandfather's Grave. We walked a lot of the cemetery and drove around it. It is very well kept. In the back the graves are in semi circle to the middle. I have not seen that before and some of the family plots, the headstones were placed on the side of gravesite verse the head or foot.     Wow!! Were we ever lucky finding this course!!! We played on men's night, so it was a bit slow on the back nine but well worth it!! This course is in fantastic shape!! The course is quite hilly and we were happy to have used a power cart. Great features!! Tough greens!! Great fun!! The pro we saw that day was a great ambassador for the course!!
